I want to get the boys eating freeze-dried, in the event that they have to stay at the vet over night, etc. I realize that raw, in certain situations, isn't going to be able to be fed, and want to prepare for that.
What brands of freeze-dried do any of you feed? How do you recommend feeding it? Thanks in advance ;D

Sonny likes Wysong archetypal 1 and Stella & Chewys (Dandy Lamb, Duck Duck Goose, Chicken, and Big Beef Dinner). S & C are supposed to release their freeze dried raw for cats and it looks even better.

The s & c are compressed into patties so I break them up & make them moist with water. If you break up the patties you can see the bone chunks cartilage etc. Wysong is just a bunch of meat chunks bones & organ meat in a bag, I also put some water in that to moisten it up.

I order S & C online from casey's hidden pantry. Dara said that they should have it in 2 to 3 weeks? 4 feline formulas: chicken & beef; chicken; beef; salmon & chicken. i think i'll be trying the single meat formulas since Sonny has issues when i combine meats sometimes. and, even though the canine formula has some fruits and vegetables, I will continue to buy the dandy lamb and duck duck goose since he really likes those.

I definitely want to try their feline formula, most likely the chicken, to start. MoJo loves chicken

Mine love duck duck. They are iffy on the lamb, but if I mix it with a bit of chicken, it's all good

How much of a Stella patty does a ferret typically eat? Casey's Pantry says 1 a day and that doesn't seem like a lot.

Sounds about right. My ferret is a greedy pig so some days he eats more than that.

Yeah, about a patty a day. Feeding rehydrated helps make it last

MY boys won't touch it rehydrated.
