Aw such a cutie pie! So far they're doing good, since they like ground better, try making the soup recipe, but make it thick/stringy, and see if they will eat it like that.
Since you have kidney also, you can do this recipe if you'd like.
8 oz chicken thigh 1 oz heart 0.5 oz liver 0.5 oz kidney 1/2 teaspoon eggshell powder
will they eat any slivers at all, or is it just they won't eat many of them?

Well they pick them up and walk away only to spit them out lol I have been offering them a bowl of raw mix like soup but not soup lol kind of like i put all the stuff in a meat grinder and mixed it. They seem to be doing well on that so far. I will continue to do this for a couple of days until they start to eat out of the bowl on their own. Then I will try slivers of meat again. Sound good?

With each batch you make, make it thicker and thicker until it basically is just slivers. The slow transition seems to work well and they never get a surprise larger piece that they can easily disregard and continue eating what they are used to. Doing it slowly is key though so they barely notice any difference. I'm glad the spoon is helping!

My girl did that with her slivers, take them and stash them or just spit them out. You can feed them the wet grind for the next few days, but every day try getting them to eat as many slivers as you can. My girl would eat quite well if I was holding her and feeding the slivers, it's a process, but whatever works.

It just takes time for them to get use to these new foods. What worked for me with my Wynstan, was to slice some slivers and then stand at the sink with him. Run one sliver under some warm water and offer it to them. Don't put them down until they take it. Talk to them and tell them what you want them to do, they understand more than you would think. The warm water releases the smell and that seems to be more enticing. My Wynstan still likes a little special spoiling now and then, even though he eats well. Everyone likes to be pampered once in awhile.

Woot for Kyuubi! And don't worry, Bubba will catch up, some take longer than others which is completely fine. How much of the raw will both of them eat? Either on their own, with your help or both. Once they start eating a couple oz a day we can ditch the kibble.

Wonderful news! Bubba was just now eating out of the bowl when I held it for him. maybe later he will eat on his own like Kyuubi ^.^ they both at 2 ounces so far today at least maybe more and the day hasn't even ended yet yay(I offer food every 2-3 hours)! They are doing so well kyuubi even ate a chunck of unblended liver.I am so proud of my boys they are progressing quite fast. I feel in a months time they will have no problem. Now the only thing I am concerned about is they won't eat at night or when the food is in the cage only when I let them out.i don't hear munching on kibble either. Is this okay ??

Yay! That's great news. If they're both eating at least 2 oz a day, you can go ahead and stop offering kibble My two don't eat at night either, and they rarely snack. Raw holds them for a lot longer than kibble, so even though they don't need to eat but twice daily (unless they are Insulinomic) it is still good to have a little food sitting out for them to eat if they get hungry. But yes it's normal for them to not snack a whole lot. If they aren't even eating much kibble, that means they've picked up that raw is food, and raw is even better. Woot!

That is great and @julesalot is right, some ferrets just don't eat a lot at night or during the day depending on the ferret. They seem to have their favorite times of the day when they eat more and each one is different. Bubba will catch up soon I'm sure, you're doing great! As long as they are eating on their own it is fine to take away the kibble completely, they will eat when they are hungry. You should of course keep an eye on weight and energy levels closely during this time.

I have weighed them today and it seems like they have gained slightly. How often should I weigh these boys? Thank you!

During the beginning of the switch we recommend doing weekly weigh-ins just to make sure everyone is keeping healthy. It is normal for them to gain at first, if they are a bit skinny they may build some more muscle, if they are chunky they may lose a little. My boy has lost 1lb being on a restricted (100% raw) diet, he was overweight and with all his issues it wasn't doing him any good, going on raw really helped him with that. When you weigh them, write it down or log it somewhere so you can keep track, weight loss can be a tale-tale sign of sickness, so if something were to happen that weight log would be helpful. Also keep in mind that ferrets can lose or gain up to 40% of their body weight when seasons change, so don't be too alarmed if they drop or gain in summer/winter. As long as you cannot see any ribs/spine and they have no accompanying symptoms the likeliness is they are just fine.
