So now I have access to much more whole prey, I have decided to do much more of it. Anyhow can anyone tell me if they see any issues with my plan please.
Sunday: Breakfast and Dinner-Mice
Monday: Breakfast and Dinner-Bone in chicken
Tuesday: Breakfast and Dinner-Rat pups
Wednesday: Breakfast-1 egg each; Dinner-Organs
Thursday: Breakfast-Mice; Dinner-Beef heart
Friday: Breakfast-Bone in chicken; Dinner-Rabbit
Saturday: Whole prey of some sort for Breakfast and Dinner
Also, besides liver and kidney, is there other organs? I checked out a few sites about different organs and skin, heart and intestines are all organ. They hate liver and refuse to eat it, should I worry?

Brains....really good organ, filled with nutrients...best part ;D I noticed that you feed rat pups...why not rats...better for them or mix it up. On Wed you mention feeding just an egg...nothing else? I know that if I fed an egg and then organ meats I would have some really disgusting poops...how are you finding it? I would feed some chicken wings with it or something like that. What age are the mice? adults? Rabbit is a bone in meat? Not bad. ciao

rabbit is bone-in. I think I will be switching up the wed thing. Trade that dinner with Mondays. They refuse to eat liver, so I worry. But they always eat the heads of any whole prey, and everything else. So I try not too worry much. The mice are all adult. And atm I only have rat pups. I cant kill my bank account too much. The rabbit is a variety of ages though. They got pinkies tonight.
I also have a whole duck sitting in the freezer I have to chop apart. Can I thaw and refreeze it? Cuz for me to cut it, it will have to be pretty much completely thawed.

Have you thought of mixing or grinding up the liver into a soupy type mixture? That's how I feed mine. I've got a couple who will actually eat liver for what it is, the rest won't touch it but they will eat it if it's ground up into a grind meat mix. Even if it's just for one morning meal, feed some ground chicken, beef or pork with some liver, pumpkin, some egg shell and some egg...see what happens. That way they might actually get the liver that they need to get into them. ciao

Personally I'd do egg/organs/meat mush together, you can mix liver into that and see if they'll eat it, I feed liver like that every 10 days or so, most of mine seem to eat liver fine but just to make sure they are getting enough and I throw some kidney in since it's not so popular. I have a bunch of ground venison so I use that in the much but any meat would work, just make a raw soup basically with it.
Also, I go through a lot of mice with my four, not sure how well stocked you are with those, rats go a lot farther but I feed large or x-large ones usually. You can thaw and refreeze that duck no problem, I do it all the time to chop stuff up, let it thaw enough to chop and rebag.

Only way I was able to get liver into mine for over a year was a weekly liver soup mixed with 1 tsp of heavy cream per ferret, hand fed And I wonder how mine got so spoiled

I see everyone on the site feed different meats, organs, and bones on different days. is that needed to be done that way? I have been making so they get everything in very meal. they are still on soup. haven't made it to chunks yet.

It's just easier for me that way ;D I can make sure they eat what they should be eating, instead of just picking out what they want

Same here. But mine are getting to a point where they don't want to eat anything that is not a whole animal Oh, except chicken backs, necks, and wing tips. Lovely

Um, I think Dolce is even more picky. He has eaten his first few mice. Killed 3 so far. Its the only way I could get him to eat So I have a freezer full of beef, pork and chicken the dog will likely be eaten instead. They have become so much more exspensive
