Everything for 100$ and to an approved home. My life has changed and I just can't keep them. I'm located in victoria bc
I'm sorry if this is in the wrong area or not even allowed.

Zeker,
I am sorry to have to say this, But more than likely a good home is not going to pay for aging ferrets.
Most knowledgeable farents who know how to care for ferrets also know the health related problems that come along with aging ferrets. They know the costs associated as well.
The only way you will be able to sell them is to find some unsuspecting person who is not very ferret knowledgeable. This may not be a good situation for the ferrets.
I fear that you will have to either give them to a shelter or give them to a ferret knowledgeable person who has room in their heart and their home for two needy ferrets.
I wish you luck on your search. And hope you can find a good situation for your ferrets and yourself.

So sorry, have not been on the forum in awhile, summer time means less time spend on the computer, I hope you found a good home for them.

lots of super shifty people responded but Im pretty strict about who these babies go to. And yes Msav those thing are definitely something I've considered and do bring up to the people who inquire. The cost is simply there to make sure somebody is actually interested/dedicated- lots of people take 'free' for granted, I'm not in it for the money.

Offensive much, I will neither put my ferrets in a bad situation or try to swindle somebody... I'm sorry if this comment is out of line but your response made me furious.

Many people have a rehoming fee out of fear that people might use ferrets as feeding animals, which I have heard happen. You're less likely to feed an animal you paid $100 for to your pet hawk. Nothing sneaky about it. If I were to rehome my babies (I'll starve before I let that happen) I'd charge them unless I personally knew their history with ferrets, and if I knew them I'd try to stay in my fuzzies' lives anyway.

I know this is a difficult time for you. I want your little ones to find a good home and a forever home. We were just in Victoria and if I could have snuck them onto the ship, I would have. msav meant well. I know him and I'm sure he did not intend to offend you.

If anyone complains about the rehoming fee, explain to them that it's not about profit and that you're only trying to make sure they go to a good home and don't get "flipped".
Lots of people will ask for a rehoming fee, but then donate it to a shelter to show that they're not doing it for the money.

I fully agree about having a decent rehoming fee. Many rescues will call and then ask about rescinding that and selling cages etc. It is a good idea.

I agree that a re-homing is a good way to weed out the people who will take anything for free and then discard if it turns out to be not for them, or try and resell for profit.
I was not trying to offend, I was more trying to portray what I have seen on craigslist, I did not mean to say that you were trying to do this, Now that I reread this I can see how you could be offended by it, It was not my intention.
Just trying to show how someone ferret knowledgeable would see it from the other side.
I found Al and gypsy on craigslist, they wanted $100 for the pair, I told them about my experience with ferrets and told them I fed Raw, I told them That I could provide them a home and would never re-home them, but I would not pay anything for them but they would get any vet care they ever needed. I even agreed to have them visit my home, and to let them meet my ferrets. I did not hear anything back for 2 days and then out of the blue they contacted us, and agreed to us adopting them. I am sure they had meet a few of those unsavory types on craigslist.
