In some pics he does look champagne(sandy in the UK), but his back isn't light enough to me, anyway. As for coat pattern, masked. What age do their coat colours stop changing so much? Today Koda looked black and Kenai looked super pale?! Gah all these changes!!! At least a couple years. I know of someone, I believe on this forum, who's sable suddenly all white one shedding season.

Like personalities, they're all different. Most of my darker ones have shown grey after ~4 years, starting in the hind quarters, but not all. Unfortunately, having had so many rehomes and rescues, I don't know all of their ages. I do know that Alice and Poppy were the same age, and Alice, a dark sable, showed more grey than Poppy, a standard sable. It is fun talking about colors and personas, but Who cares, really. Love em all while you can.

Yeah exactly, I was just curious, their colour types don't change how much I love them, they are already my world along with my dog, from just the short few weeks I e ha them they have made me so happy I haven't had a downward spiral as bad as before have them.

You are in the UK, so your little one's coat colours are more likely to be stable. In the US and Canada the majority of ferrets we have access to are from mills. They have been bred for fancy colours and markings, so they have virtually every colour/pattern in their genetics. For example over here it is almost guaranteed every silver is going to roan out to DEW within the first 3-4 years of their life.

Yeah, over here I have only heard of sandy, polecat, black eyed white, silver and albino.
