There is really no reason to "gut load" rodents for ferrets because they generally don't eat the digestive system. If I have a planned cull date, I usually take their food away about 12 hours before the cull. Less poop in their systems for the ferrets to avoid.

abbeytheferret6 I use gloves to, but thanks to bitbyter I invested in a shop vac. I vacuum all the bedding out, spray down with a 1/2 water, 1/2 vinegar, wipe down with papertowels, while wearing gloves. Right now, it only takes me a half hour to do the rodents, the quail take a little bit longer.
