How do you cut the large bits of meat so they don't choke on it? What size? Actually, the ONLY time I have seen my ferrets choke on meat is when the pieces were pretty small and they tried to swallow them whole. Ferrets just starting on bone also sometimes choke because they haven't learned yet that bones need to be chewed well, but they cough it up themselves and learn quickly. Once ferrets are eating chunks on their own, I usually cut my meat the size of my thumb, or thicker. It helps if the meat has tapered ends where they can start at. Save
