I don't think its cooked. However, there are some additives in it that perserve the meat in good condition. I don't use it more than once a week because I don't know if it is a perfectly balanced diet to give on a daily basis. However, it certainly does include plenty of organs, so its good for the ferrets :3

I've generally heard that canned food is always considered to be cooked food.

I've generally heard that canned food is always considered to be cooked food. I don't know... by the way it looks and smells I'd say its raw minced meat and organs. The hearts I believe are raw too. I checked the descriptions and it doesn't say if its cooked or not :C

The canning process itself involves cooking, otherwise the food would not last. Unless it explicitly says raw (and they used a non-conventional canning technique) it would be considered cooked.
