Neeps is a champagne/sandy but he is dark at the mo as he's an intact hob in season one week and he's going to the vet's to get castrated. I imagine he'll turn lighter again once his hormones settle but yes he's a lovely colour

I don't think whole/altered has much to do with colour. I've had some change colours every year and some never change. All of them have been altered except Jaffa, and he never changes.

The oils in the coat of an intact hob makes their coats often appear darker. Neeps has become much lighter again like he was as a kit as he's less oily since being castrated lol
