There was a post on here about the PVC hammock. It got me thinking and I went to Home Depot on Tuesday and got some supplies. I made a play area of sorts. It's kind of like a cat tree but wider than taller. For the platform I used grids and coroplast but I'm not sure I like them. I may have to rethink those, but the box needs more balls for the ball pin and they love the tunnel. I want to be able to add more things to it but I'm not sure what else to do. Any ideas? I also doubled their dog boxes. Rice on top, sand on the bottom... Sand is messy. (Oh and I'm covering the hole at the top of the rice box)

So neat! Jackson Galaxy's book 'Catification' has designs for PVC cat trees.

Oh I'll have to look into that! It was very fun to build, if not a little frustrating and of course they played with it for 15 minutes and then went and destroyed my pantry again which is now fully ferret proof (HA!)

wow! This is so creative! I was thinking of making a ball pit for Sherlock, this has been an inspiration for me I can expand the ball pit to something else... conecting tubes to it and stuff. I can't wait to start working on it!

I was looking for a well executed but space efficient do it yourself hammock/ball pit for my ferrets. This is an awesome idea! I'll definitely be looking into doing a variation of this myself! Thanks for the idea.

I see you have tried to save ur door entrance too. My berber carpet looks like a bunny's tail at my bedroom from door. one reason i try to keep them out of bedroom now. I think if i lay any more carpet I am going to have a piece of scrap linoleum glued down first at entrance.
