That does look better! That is 5 proteins plus the organs. The chicken and turkey necks are very bone dense so you may need to serve those with some extra muscle meat but you've got a good variety now.

I am back! My grandpa's surgery was successful. It seems it's all going well now, except now I think I'm getting sick. This week will never end for me orz.
Ferrets are doing well. They've a playdate on Monday. : D Hoping they make some new friends!
Also found a hook and hung up some of that mutton. They've been enjoying that.

I'm glad your grandpa is doing well but sorry that you're feeling bad. Being sick is no fun. Thats a big chunk of meat hanging there! I assume they don't have any trouble eating that. You have good eaters. Do you know the ferrets they're meeting? No health problems that can be passed I hope? Have fun and take pictures!

Yeah, they each have techniques on how to tackle it. It's adorable! Elisha chews at the edges to get pieces off. Moses just grabs a hold of it and tugs until a chunk comes off. She's hardcore like that. ;D I figure it helps them work out their jaws and gives them some mental stimulation while playing with it. The ferrets belong to another girl here in my city. Perfectly healthy. And my weasels are all vaccinated as well, since I take them outside often. I cannot wait to see how they interact.

Eating big chunks IS good mental stimulation. And it's very good for their jaw muscles. Since they're eating the large chunks with no problem and even eating the bone, all we really need to work on is making sure you understand their nutritional needs and getting a good balanced menu. You're still feeding only once a day, right?

At the moment we are, yes. I may switch it up in the next month. I also think I need to reweigh their food amounts. It used to be they ate ~ 8 oz a day. But they've been leaving a lot of leftovers in the cage. (Not so much the organs. They eat those. They leave behind partially eaten mutton chunks and eat them over a span of a few days). It's getting to be spring, so it's possible that means they'll eat less, correct? I am going to reweigh and see how much they actually eat and adjust their portions. I feel like Moses is getting skinny again. She likes to gain weight, then lose it. I'm going to weigh her again tonight to see. The play date went excellent! We have lots of pictures. Elisha found a new ferret that she absolutely adores. They were all over each other, grooming and cleaning ears. They even gave each other a kiss goodbye.

So Moses weighed in at 1lb 9-10 oz (scale kept tittering). Despite her looking all skinny, it appears she hasn't lost weight. I suppose it really could be because she's shedding that she looks skinnier to me?

Shedding definitely makes them look thin, especially after their winter floof!

She is hardcore shedding, too. If you touch her, fur is everywhere! She went to the vet for her rabies vaccine, and I brought up my concerns. Their scale read 1lb 6oz, which is actually a 3oz gain from her last visit. She was given her vaccine with no problems, and they say she's looking good. I suppose I'm a paranoid ferrant. haha

Hey, I'm sorry I've been absent. My real life has just jumped into overdrive for the next 5 or 6 weeks. With school winding up and events to plan and organize, I'm just overwhelmed. I've asked Sherry to step in for me here until things settle down a little. I'll pop in and see how it's going when I get a chance, but I want you to have someone who can be more available than I'll be able to be for a while. Hugs to the girls. I love to watch them chomping on those big chunks!

Hi @muse I'll help out until Gina is in a better position. Would you please give me a run down on what they are getting now, proteins, etc?
