1.Basic frankenprey sample menu would look like this: Monday am: edible bone in meat Monday pm: edible bone in meat (or muscle)* Tuesday am: edible bone in meat Tuesday pm: muscle meat Wednesday am: edible bone in meat Wednesday pm: heart Thursday am: edible bone in meat Thursday pm: edible bone in meat (or muscle)* Friday am: edible bone in meat Friday pm: ½ heart + ¼ liver + ¼ other organ Saturday am: edible bone in meat Saturday pm: muscle meat Sunday am: edible bone in meat Sunday pm: ½ liver + ½ other organ 2. Organ should be 10% of ferrets diet 3.Muscle meat is heart meat, lamb, chicken, and any meat (rabbit,duck...) Without bones, but it must not be smoked, salted, etc. Edible bones -rabbits any/all (ribs,legs...),turkey necks,ribs,wings... Organs- liver, kidney 4.If poop is unformed and liquid then we should give more bone in meal, but if poop is dry, firm then it is necessary to reduce bone in meal, and give more muscle meat 5.Heart is highest in taurine, but if you can choose than lamb/beef/pork heart has more taurine then rabbits heart 6. Kidney,lungs,pancreas... are organs 7. In one week there must be 10 bone in meals that ferret will get,if necessary, this can be reduced depending on poop. 8.I think that ferret would not care about lightbulb heheh, they would rather sleep than change the lightbulb

Menu: You posted our regular frankenprey menu, but what I'm looking for is an example/sample menu, so for example instead of "bone in meal" it should treat maybe "turkey wings", etc. Please repost that menu with food examples.2. Organ should be 10% of ferrets diet Yup! Ideally should be 5% liver and 5% other organ.3.Muscle meat is heart meat, lamb, chicken, and any meat (rabbit,duck...) Without bones, but it must not be smoked, salted, etc. Edible bones -rabbits any/all (ribs,legs...),turkey necks,ribs,wings... Organs- liver, kidney Perfect!4.If poop is unformed and liquid then we should give more bone in meal, but if poop is dry, firm then it is necessary to reduce bone in meal, and give more muscle meat Good answer 5.Heart is highest in taurine, but if you can choose than lamb/beef/pork heart has more taurine then rabbits heart Correct! Tongue is also high in taurine, but not as high as heart 6. Kidney,lungs,pancreas... are organs Yes!7. In one week there must be 10 bone in meals that ferret will get,if necessary, this can be reduced depending on poop. It definitely depends on the ferret. Usually we recommend 7-9 bone in meals 8.I think that ferret would not care about lightbulb heheh, they would rather sleep than change the lightbulb Hahah so true!

Great! One thing to note (as we discussed previously in Freddy's case) is that a menu high in rabbit should have extra heart to compensate as rabbit is relatively low in taurine.
One final thing I need from you is a menu of what YOU are feeding this week! Also, were you ever able to get the horse meat and introduce it to Freddy?

Monday AM: Rabbits ribs Monday PM: Lamb heart
Tuesday AM: Rabbit leg Tuesday PM: Lamb chunks
Wednesday AM: Rabbit ribs Wednesday PM: 50% lamb heart (30g) 25% lamb liver ( aporx.15g) 25% lamb kidney (aprox 15g)
Thursday AM: Rabbit back /neck Thursday PM: Venison
Friday AM: Lamb chunks with eggshell powder Friday PM: Organ soup (rabitt heart, liver, kidney)*
Saturday AM: Rabbit leg Saturday PM: Venison
Sunday AM: Rabbit leg Sunday PM: Lamb organ soup ( kidney, liver, lungs)
I didn`t get any horse meat for now, I hope to get some this month, to be honest as I told you before I`m always afraid when I need to give him new protein, but I will go for horse meat and there is no excuse not to try, if he reacts ok on that meat even better for him. (sorry if my sentences aren`t gramaticly correct and meaningful)

Congratulations You've graduated and you're ready to walk this path alone. You have the foundation to help you feed your fuzzes in a more natural and healthy manner. Please remember that your learning never stops, and dietary needs change from ferret to ferret and throughout each their lives. With the wee one you have presently needing to use only rabbit as a bone in meat make sure that you've always supplemented with extra hearts, beef tongue or a good taurine supplement. I would like you to be aware that though you now have the capability and the knowledge to create your little ones diets you are never alone and that your mentor (you need only pm) is always available to you. The list is also a very good resource and you should always be aware that it's available to answer any questions you may have either about diet or care. Good luck, in a few days Sherry will lock down this thread and place it in the archives but be aware that you can always look through it as a reference tool but you just will not be able to post to it. Your mentor will be in to congratulate you shortly (dance) ciao ciao
