Please post a weekly menu of what Freddy is currently eating. Have you make any progress with bones?

Hey sorry for not answering, but I didn`t get any notification for tapatalk on my mobile phone, and I wasn`t on computer. Freddy is in his winter mood, he sleeps alot Here is his weekly menu: MON AM: Rabbit chunks with bonemeal MON PM: soup: 50% heart, 25% liver 25% kidney (25 grams of heart, 15 grams of liver and 10 grams of kidney - I use lamb / rabbit hearts, kidneys and liver) TUE AM: Rabbit/duck with bonemeal (40 grams of rabbit, and 10 grams of duck) TUE PM: Lamb chunks WED AM: lamb chunks with bonemeal WED PM: soup: 50% heart 50% liver THU AM: Rabbit and duck chunks with bonemeal THU PM: Rabbit chunks FRI AM: Rabbit chunks FRI PM: Lamb chunks with bonemeal SAT AM: Soup:50% heart, 50% liver (or 25% liver 25% kidney if you have other organs available) SAT PM: Rabbit chunks with bonemeal SUN AM: Lamb chunks SUN PM: Rabbit chunks with bonemeal Every meal is approx. 50 grams / 1,7 oz, he doesn`t eat always evertything, but daily he eats around 90 to 100 grams I will start introducing him turkey this week, but in smaller amount mixed with lamb or rabbit, since that are two proteins that he tolerate. I still need to crash bones into small pieces and mix with chunks, at first I need to hand fed him but after few bittes he starts to eat on his own. I sometimes put some eggshells in chunks to get him enough calcium. I need to admit that I`m still on alert and afraid of introduce him new protein beacuse I am afraid that he will start to vommit.

Your menu looks great! It's really important that we get Freddy eating real bones though. I don't remember if I mentioned this before, but rabbit ribs sliced individually are a great starter - you can slather one end with oil and stick it in the side of his mouth until he starts chewing it As some added incentive, here is a photo of my new boy Ziggy showing just how much of a difference bones make for the teeth (they help in so many other ways too, but this is the most outwardly visible): Once we get Freddy eating bones on a regular basis you will be ready to graduate! PS - I know new proteins can be scary, but just go slow and let him eat a little at a time to make sure he doesn't get sick after.

Sometimes it feels like I will never succed because I am afraid that he don't choke with bone or something like that ?

I can't help you with your anxiety, but I can tell you that I DID go through the exact same thing. When I first started my girls on bone, they would sometimes get bone caught in their throat or teeth and make awful hacking sounds while trying to fix it. For the first week I supervised them for every bone-in meal until they got comfortable eating bone and I felt safe leaving them alone.
One tip is to leave the bone pieces a little bigger. There is actually much less risk of them choking when they HAVE to chew the bone first instead of just being able to try and swallow it.

Thank you for everything but I'm not sure that I can do this anymore, I am crying every time that he throw up,and my heart is breaking ,maybe I don't know how to do that and maybe I am stupid to make everything ok,but I am breaking appart.

Okay, I think at this point it's pretty safe to say that he can't eat any poultry.... Nothing with wings. We can go back to what was working, with Freddy just on lamb and rabbit. Once he is stabilized and doing well, we can try and introduce a third (non-bird) poultry like fish to give him some extra balance. We definitely don't want Freddy to be throwing up!! The main focus right now is to get him back on lamb and rabbit. As soon as he is stable and not throwing up anymore, we will focus on getting him to eat bone-in rabbit

I definitely don't think it's time to give up yet! I know you and Freddy can do this, even with some bumps in the road <3

Hey, it`s been a crazy week :/ I need to sit next to Freedy and hold him while he eats, we are back on minced meat with small chunks and small sized bones, but ok that is not a problem to me, I keep telling my self, that if I will be persistant we will succed, but now and then I slip and we are back to the start. He is on lamb and rabbit. I`m now sure that polutry and beef are not the proteins that I can give him. Since in Croatia pork is not tested on Aujeszky virus, I need to find that one protein that he will tolerate. Sometimes it looks like we are so far from our goal, but on the other hand we are so close, that one protein that we need to get into his diet seems like a mission impossible.
