Update : i managed to get over myself a little - gave them day old chicks, since we have about 20 more in the freezer, and about 16 mice. Even managed to cut them open. They would't touch them. I sliced - the spit out. I put salmon oil. In the end i blended, they still hated them, didn't eat. Any ideas? Gizmo was running around the house with a whole chick like a toy. Never ate it,just filled the house with feathers. Tried also tug of war - didn't care. I'd put it on his head and he still didn't care:))

How i got mine to eat something they did not like
Would you believe my baby ferret turned down a mouse ? I should have fed her that instead of chicken first.
Anyway, I cut up the mouse into little pieces and cut up some chicken thigh and really mixed it up--- wallered mouse bits around in the chicken real good. She ate it. She has ate two mice like that. Mix the meat they like and little bits of whatever. My first mix was about 75% chicken to 25% mouse. less on next.
oh yea, they r smart and will really sniff the plate trying to decipher where the good stuff is. Make it hard for them to eat the goodie without getting into the new.
no guarantees this will work.
