DIP little baby, I'm so sorry for your loss. I don't have any personal experience with depression in ferrets, however I have heard so many stories of bonded fuzzies passing within weeks or months of each other, the remaining ferret literally dies of a broken heart. Hopefully someone more experienced in this area can offer some advice, but at the very least make sure she's eating and drinking and give her lots of love/attention/cuddles. How long were they together? I will tag Sherry, because at the very least she will know who can offer the best advice.

Thank you guys so much for all the help! But she's eating and drinking, but I will continue to watch her for any changes. She just seems more fussy than usual and maybe a little stressed out. They were together about four years and a half years!

I'm so sorry. I know this is heartbreaking for you and your little girl. Keep an eye out on her. She may take some time to realize that her friend isn't coming back. They do grieve and she will miss her buddy, so give her alot of extra time and attention. DIP little one, you were Loved and will be Missed.

So sorry for your loss.. may he fly high with his new angel wings! Your story made me feel like I read my Ozzy's story... nearly 5 years, insu, 1 week fast downhill and passed the day before the appointment. Give extra attention to the little girl, she needs you now more than ever!

Thank you eveybody for the support. My Ally is doing better she's seems less stressed out then before but is still supper fussy! She still needs to get use to him not being around. He was with me for about 5 years so it's super hard! But I am thankful for all the fun times we had with him and I'm relieved he isn't suffering. Again thank you everybody <3
