Do you know what causes seedy poops? I know it's undigested fat/food, just don't know what's causing it.
PS - Sorry @muse for hijacking your thread!

Aside from undigested fats, seedy poops can mean that the food is passing too quickly thru their digestive track. That could be from temporary gastric upset (changing to new foods) or possibly IBD. If it continues, then that could be a problem.

So Moses and Elisha got their turkey and lamb today. Surprisingly, it was Moses who ate the most of the two.
I'm going to chalk it up to it being the chicken. Elisha is good with chicken, but I think Moses either is upset by it or simply doesn't like it. She does very well with the turkey and the lamb is going over well.
But in actuality, I'm just happy to see her eat anything at all.

Moses weighed in at 1.4 lbs yesterday. She's eating rather ravenously now compared to when she was refusing food. The turkey and lamb work for both ferrets. Both will eat the meat without any kind of soupie now.

So I introduced a chicken neck last night after cutting it up into pieces. It appeared there was little to no interest. But just now, as I came home from classes, I noticed Moses was chewing on something. I thought maybe she was chewing cloth and went to stop her...only to find she had stolen and stashed a piece of the chicken neck and was now chewing on it. Eating it, even.
It seems my sneaky ferrets don't want me to know they like their new addition.

So you had luck introducing chicken necks before bones? I have a couple in my freezer but have been reluctant to test them because they look so.... Big. Did you cut it length-wise or in discs?

I thought the chicken necks were good for bones. I just cut it length-wise as small as I could without hurting my fingers too much. (Very hard to cut, ow!) Mixed it into their dinner with EVOO and egg yolk!

Moses is now back to 1 lb 6 oz! I'm thrilled! Elisha is still 900 g (2 lbs). A little porker as always. I learned that Moses adores Wysong's freeze dried raw treats. She'll even sit up for them. It's adorable. We hid some in their dig box for her to find. We also went to Petco today to visit their fans. Moses and Elisha are always fawned over when we go by employees and customers alike. They think it's adorable to see 2 ferrets in harnesses. And Elisha is originally from that Petco, so the employees are always thrilled to see how beautiful she's grown to be. Chicken neck is devoured and gone. I checked their teeth today and couldn't see any tar. Seems it did its job!

Well it sounds like Moses' hunger strike is over for good! If she likes FDR, you should see if you can get her to do tricks for it! It's great mental stimulation for fuzzies, a bonding experience for you both, and makes for good entertainment when you have guests What size chunks are they up to now?

No chunks, since Rad Cat is minced. And they will stick to Rad Cat. But they're not adverse to chunks of meat, either, as they do fine with the chicken neck and did fine with the cut up steak when I ran out of their normal food.

That's good to hear. Just remember to brush their teeth often if they aren't getting bone

They get chicken neck bone to chew on.
So a question @poncesmom !
My order of Rad Cat did not come in this week and they're putting it off till next week. Joy. I've run out. There's a single butcher in Bloomington that I've never been to, so I have no idea what they'll offer me. And we're dirt poor till at the earliest Monday, so we can't really afford to go anyways. (Recovering from unemployment woes).
I DO have the Wysong Epigen wet food that says it's starch free and 95% meat. (For my cats). Will this hold my ferrets over till Monday? Or, at the very latest, next Wednesday? I do have bonemeal powder to add. I have oils as supplements. They still have their egg.
I just don't want to short them on the nutrients they need.

Imbalances take a while to occur. The Wysong epigen is a good quality kibble. If that's all you have, then they will be fine. Stupid Money, it spoils all our fun.

It's the wet food. (Though I have the kibble, too. Digestive Support.) This. And yes, stupid money! And stupid bosses who lay off their employees without warning. :/
