Thank you!! The only other one who was this hard to potty train was Domino. Dalia had some issues, but once I closed off the levels, she got it. Jake just does it wherever he wants, so I have taken out the shelf this morning. There were 3 piles around the cage (including next to their dinner!!). I feel bad for Gidget but it's better than keeping 3 in one level, and I really think he needs someone to show him. If I find messes when I get home, I'm going to have to pull out the spare cage and put him in there for boot camp since it's smaller Breakfast is wings, which they all seem to love

Right after my last post, Gidget vomited right after eating some breakfast. I would've freaked out had I not seen that sometimes they can eat too fast and have that happen. At least she was nice enough to do it in the litter box lol

I didn't come home to any poop piles!! And I can tell he used the litter because there are some obvious boy pee spots. Yay! I'm going to wait a couple days to put the shelf back just to make sure he's good.
Rabbit was our new food here for dinner. It was really strange because it was soooo hard to cut through. I think I'm going to have to buy the cleaver soon. They're all chomping down on it though, we'll see how they do with the bones. I split the lower half of its body in half, one for each pair.
I'm very proud of all of them, as soon as I hook the meat to the side of the cage and place them in it, they start eating right away.
Jake and Gidget also tried egg for the first time today (we've been having fur hacks lately), all I had to do was hold them up to the bowl and they licked it up.

That's great progress on the potty training front. Hooray (dance)
I find rabbit hard to cut also, and I have a cleaver. I haven't enough rabbit though, to get good at butchering it.
I'm glad that Jake and Gidget liked the egg. I'd say that all around, your day was very successful.

Yes, I'm going to gamble and reopen the whole cage... Everything was in the litter box again today I'm in the process of washing the liners to get it all set up! Thankfully Gidget's vomiting episodes didn't continue today. She really had me worried. I'm going to the store tomorrow after work, I never got a chance yesterday. I'm excited to get more food for them, I never thought I'd say that I'm excited to go to the grocery store

We've graduated to food fights, lol. Last night I heard Gidget making a sound like a cough and bark combined. She and Dalia were fighting over the last piece of gizzard. Gidget had it in her mouth and Dalia kept trying to take it. When she would, Gidget would make that sound and take it back. If not for this forum, I'd've panicked, lol.
I noticed that after muscle dinner last night, their poops are very runny, so quail and chicken wing are for breakfast.

Isn't it nice to see them enjoying their food. I watched my two males play tug of war with a strip of lamb heart, it broke in the middle as Mako had already been chewing it and Bolin was the one stealing.

Just went to Super H Mart, got some new things. Cornish hen, frog legs, beef, goat, and pork. I wanted to get pheasant and partridge, but they were a little too expensive for this paycheck. Next time!

Frog legs are a HUGE hit at my house. They do tend to make lighter colored, sometimes almost greenish-yellow poops.

I served frog legs 2 nights ago. It had been a while since they'd had them and they went absolutely NUTS. My little girl ate so much so fast, she promptly threw up. Then went back for more. There wasn't another one so she stole her brother's, lol.

I really hope mine love them that much! So far they go nuts over chicken gizzards, chicken wings, and quail. It's hilarious to watch how possessive they get over them. Silly lil piggies!
I unfortunately haven't found any new organs, just liver and kidney still. I bought beef liver this time to just have another protein for them. I did see beef and veal intestines though. Are intestines nutritious enough to use in their menu?
I also was trying to find pork rib ends for them, but none of the ribs were labeled as such. Could they perhaps be listed as something else?
Last one: they had some really nice, fatty looking pork belly. Can they eat this? I *assume* it'd be muscle?
I'm putting together next week's menu and will post it when I'm done!

I'm happy to report that the frog legs went so well, Elwood and Gidget are fighting over a piece.

I'm glad they like the frog legs. I love to watch their food fights! They're so silly to all fight over one leg when there are 3 more hanging there, lol.
In regards to intestines, most ferrets just won't eat them. IMO, they're not worth the hassle or the smell. They really stink.
Pork rib ends might possibly be called pork buttons. And pork belly is fine IF it's not processed. Make sure there are no additives, and yes, it would be muscle.
