Awesome, I'll give it a try! Definitely a little nervous after my recent "distemper" scare (I'm such an over-reacter about everything, you say heartburn I say heart attack kind of thing : but I'm thinking my back yard is probably safe because it's just my dogs that go in there. What other wild-life can carry distemper though? Any one know how long it can live in the ground for? I've read it's not alive air-borne for very long so that's a bit of a relief.

Yes, knew I'd missed a few but that's a big one because they're not just rural anymore, but urban dwellers too. I think badgers fall under that too. ciao

Definitely don't have any of those going in my backyard or front yard, except for skunks... pretty sure we have skunks living under our pavement at the corner of the garage. We buried the hole a little bit to see if they dig it out and then we'll know it's the den... hmm maybe I will hold off on taking them outside until they're older and have had more vaccines.

My guys ADORE going outside so when it's nice and the temp is right, that's where we go. I actually bring them to the barn with me and they play in the shavings while I clean the stalls or fill water buckets. They love it! My little girl will si tin my hood all day long as long as I keep my booty moving so she can see new things! They LOVE exploring the tall grass too. I always keep them on harnesses though and walk with them just to be sure they're not picking up any bugs or getting into who knows what they could find! LOL If it's buggy at all I keep them inside as well. We take them down to the river by us too when my fiance goes fly fishing and let them dig through the pine needles and dirt in the woods along the river. They love it. My guys also love when I go grocery shopping and bring home all the bags just for them, or so they think. I let them explore what's in the bags and play in the empty ones and it provides for a very entertaining time for both humans and ferrets hahaha
