So, went to the vet today with aramis. She said - enteritis, and gave him antibiotics for ten days. The inflammation may have been caused by the pieces of rubber that he ate, and stayed in him for too long, elliminating slowly, no blockage. Suspected bacterial infection but the antibiotics should take care of that too. If symptoms continue after the treatment, she'll do further investigations. But I do hope that was it.

I'm glad to hear it! I'd been wondering how things were going. Three days of antibiotics sounds awfully short, but I have no idea what the norm is for this. All I know is the 3 weeks Maisie got after blockage surgery + gastritis. Hopefully everything will be sorted out soon, and Aramis will be back to his old tricks (minus the rubber eating).

Oh gosh, I meant 10 days, I don't know why I wrote three. We also have something to coat the stomach because of gastritis (to protect the stomach), especially when taking antibiotics. He seems very active now and happy, and he's eating well, so hopefully there will be no other complications.
On the way home from the vet - i had a bag of training pads next to his crate, and he tried to pull the bag in and chew it in the crate, I felt like turning him into a scarf! (headwall)

Ah OK, that sounds more reasonable! Yes, we had the stomach coating thing too (omeprazole in our case but there are others). Sadly that's not enough ferret for a scarf. Maybe one glove?
