Ferrets always think that litter boxes are optional anyway. There's really nothing much can be done except to keep them 100 % when they're in their cages. Some are much better than others when it comes to this but as a general statement...they're not necessarily the best shots Poopies are going to be softer and much mushier than kibble poops. Some people claim that chicken poops smell horrible, I think kibble poops are far worse. Do you think you're little ones are ready to dry a different protein? or do you want to take a little longer ciao

These poops only smell more when I have to wipe them up of the floor or something. When I clean the litter box as long as the poops don't brake up they don't smell as all.
But I no longer smell the littler box when I walk in the door like I used too. It's a nice change.
They are probably ready for something new. I'm not sure what meat to go with next.

I find lamb and rabbit are two that are well received. Pork is another. Some of my guys like beef. There's a good number like the bison too. It's up to you. I would choose something that is easily accessible. Generally, for my 3 proteins I use something that I know I can get at any time. The rest are just bonuses. ciao
