Will Ty eat the slivers if you hand them to him one at a time, or he just doesn't want them at all? He WAS eating them last week wasn't he? At least some of them? Stubborn boy! One of my guys is always the first to check out a new meal, but he prefers his meat to be a little old, so he usually waits a couple of hours to go back and eat. Maybe Ty likes old food too. I'm glad he decided to eat on his own last night. That means he knows what to do with the stuff in the dish, lol.
Rather than giving them yet another egg, try just putting a little warm water on their slivers to make a thin gravy.

Okay do you want me to wash the egg off and replace it with water? It easy to do. Ty wont eat it at all, alone, with me holding him or with a spoon or by hand. He was eating the chunks in soup last week but not now. I have no idea why. Why Linus isn't eating don't know but I will try again when they get up.
The ferrets that normally protest do they eventually give in and eat or do they just refuse to eat which require us to back step?

I washed Linus dinner of the egg and added a little EVOO he ate it all and I'm going to give him more. He's at 2oz so far today.

I'm sorry to not get back to sooner. I had an appointment this afternoon.
Protesting ferrets... I'm seeing ferrets on a picket line with signs saying GIB US SOUPIEZ!!! There's no normally with these guys. Each ferret is individual and has to be treated as such. What works for one won't work for another. But never fear, we still have tricks up our sleeve, even if that means taking a step back. Before we go any farther, check their weights and post them here. I want to make sure no one is losing. Also, how are poops and activity levels?

Ty weighs 3lbs and Linus weighs 2.6lbs. Activity levels and poops are good. No changes.
This morning went a little better Linus ate on his own, 1.3oz., with a little EVOO.
Ty ate too, but I held him on my lap, about an ounce, and I could tell he was starving lol. Still didn't finish it though. Hes still not 100% convinced. Sigh.
What should I do for dinner? Can I try that lamb neck or should I still stick with chicken?
Shhhh..don't tell Ty but I caught him going back to the bowl to eat. I know he's hungry you should have heard him eating. Lol. I'm surprised he didn't woof it all down but I think he's getting the hint.

So T y went back on his own for food. That's good! That was slivers, right? For dinner, sure, try the lamb if you want to. You snuck that in once before so maybe they'll like it again. Be ready to mix it with the chicken though, just in case.
I was going to change our approach today, but since both boys did better, let's give them another meal like you've been doing and see if they'll finally get it. If not, tomorrow we'll back up a little and start again.

Lamb was a big hit with Linus. He got 3/4 oz of lamb and 1/4 oz of chicken slivers. 95% gone. I did drizzle a little EVOO on it but he went to town with no hesitation. Ty did better as well eating 3/4 of his ounce but I left it out bc he tends to graze later on. He's resting in front of the fireplace. It's his favorite spot in the winter. So happy they liked them lamb. I am getting sick of chicken and I'm not even eating it! I know you said we need to work towards the organ and heart meals. Should I be sneaking them in tomorrow morning? If so, what % should I make? I really don't want to go back to soup. My gut says Ty will get it sooner rather than later. He did dive in tonight and was chewing rather than licking. I know that he's really hungry and it seems with each meal he realizing it's this or nothing. He hasn't lost any weight and his activity level is the same. My fingers and toes are crossed that we now left soup in my rear view mirror.

Good job! "This or nothing" is hardest on the momma... You're doing a great job!
Let's not worry about the heart and organ just yet. Just celebrate tonight's little victory and try to repeat it tomorrow. How is Charlie?

He's the same. He sleeps, plays for a few minutes and goes to bed. I just picked up his anti biotic today my vet forgot to call it in yesterday. Long story. He's on clavomox .15m twice a day. I did forget to ask my vet where should add this.
Right now it's. Carafate wait 45 minutes, food, Pepcid and Pred. Should i add it after the Pred? Ughh that's a lot of meds for one small fert.

That is a lot. I don't think it matters when it's given. I'd just do it with all the rest. Is he still pawing at his mouth? Did you try adding any raw to his food?

No I haven't added any soup yet to the cc. Yes, he is still pawing at his mouth from time to time but I'm hoping once the antibiotic kicks in it will lessen. I am doing the Pred 3x a day instead of 2. I'm doing the lamb neck again the morning sans chicken. I'll see how it goes.
I'm not sure if I mentioned but Charlie ate the entire bag off cc in 12 days. I'm picking up more today. I just can't believe how fast he went through it.

Linus did great again this morning eating 1.3oz of lamb, no chix, with EVOO. Ty continues to be challenging. He didn't eat much but I'm hoping he will go back to eat more. Little bugger if not I will add some chicken to his dish and try again.

1.3 ounces twice a day is ALMOST 3 ounces a day, which is within the normal range for males.
OK, stubborn Ty.... Do you have any ground meat in the house? Ground chicken or turkey preferably.

No but I can make it. I gave a meat grinder. I'll ground some chix.

OK, good. Will it handle bone? If so, grind up some chicken, bone and all. This is going to give him a different texture again, but it's closer to the soup texture that we know he likes. Mix some of the ground with some warm water to make a gravy and pour that over some coarse ground chicken. Let's see what he does with that.
