I've only had to put down ferrets, never a dog or cat, I'm so close to my dog it's almost weird, he is literally my best friend, just like my ferrets are my best buddies and my babies. Marshall's is a terrible company, I spit on their business. If I could shut them down I would in a heartbeat. Their facilities are disgusting, they cram ferrets together and they breed the females all year long, how they do this? They mess with the lighting so they stay in season, when they get older and stop producing enough babies or they get sick, they toss them away. They pull babies from their mother at 4-5 weeks old, they spay/neuter them and descent them (aka mutilate), then ship them off to a petstore, many of the babies die in the process of all of this, the ones that live are the ones we have now. My next ferret will be a baby from a reputable, good breeder. Will be several years, but I've always wanted one, I've never had a baby ferret before. You can add me as a friend on Facebook, if you reply to my post it will notify you when I comment or someone else does. If you add me as a friend it will notify you when I post.

any food or treat product from marshalls won't be good for them either...goodbye odor, etc. I understand you despise Marshalls, but are there health reasons to discourage using Goodbye Odor? It has a tiny amount of carbs, but that seems to be the worst of it. Honestly I don't know if I'll bother buying any more of it. My ferrets hardly drink any water since they've been on raw, but it does make a noticeable difference in waste odor, so if it is not harmful, I could consider using a little in their wet food.

I will be doing the same...finding a reputable breeder, however that will be a while. I would love to add another one, but hubby says no. I have 2 dogs, 2 ferrets, 2 aquariums full of fish. lol I guess he's been compromising. lol
Baby ferrets are soooo adorable!! I've only seen them in pics but they are cute!
Oh, today I made two different soupies...one for Mia with the rabbit and bone in and the regular soupie recipe for Bella. Well a few minutes ago Bella ate out of Mia's dish that is always available in the cage!! She ate another 0.7oz! That's a total of 2.5oz today!
Is that a picture of you and Caillou on your FB profile?

raynebc, this stuff doesn't work, and added chemicals or carbs aren't good for them and it isn't worth paying for something that is of no use or help, so no reason to give your ferret any more chemicals than they already ingest. On a proper diet smell should be minimum to almost non existent. @bellasophia lol we have 4 dogs, 2 cats, 6 sugar gliders and 2 ferrets. When my family so no more animals the excuse, "but we don't have that many" is cause for a laughing frenzy That's awesome for Bella and Mia! 2.5 oz is a good amount for a female. Then again what do I know about amounts, seeing as how my fatso Marcie eats like 5 oz a day, agghhh LOL. It's nice to know they eat good, but it's weird because she's a female and the cost doesn't help haha. But I've found that slivers/chunks fills them up a lot more, Marcie isn't on soup anymore, just slivers, and she only eats about 4 oz a day now. Yep that's me and Caillou on my FB profile picture. That was taken last year shortly after I adopted him

We are suckers for our pets, we just can't stop! Haha. When first starting they can eat a LOT, it's them re gaining their nutrients they lost while on kibble, they just can't get enough it seems! I saw a huge different in a short time as well. This is Caillou after 1 month-- This is Juliet after one month-- This is Marcie after 2 weeks--

Great improvements there! It's amazing what the raw food diet does for them.
I got up at 6am to feed Bella and to my surprise she was already eating from the bowl! So I stayed quiet so she didn't see me, so that I would not interrupt her. I'm not sure how much she ate but I know she did eat 0.3oz from her syringe afterwards and she was hungry! (dance)
I know Mia ate some because there was some dried up food from her mouth cleaning on their towel.

And when on raw how much quickly they recover, Caillou is just about completely normal right now, yesterday he could barely open his eyes. I think a lot has to do with him being hydrated, raw keeps them much more hydrated than kibble, and they heal faster this way. That's awesome Bella was eating on her own! Such excitement when they do, great progress

  So far today she is at 1.3oz and she still has 3 feedings and that's not counting what she ate out of the bowl, which I have no idea because Mia might have eaten some also. I gave them both a soak in oatmeal today and took pictures...I want to compare them to the first ones. I will share once I have them setup I also have videos
