Anything to avoid doing my presentation, I've decided to introduce my crazy fur kids.
This is Artemis. He (yea, he, talk to my fiance he named him) is a Siberian Husky. He has one blue eye and one half brown half blue eye. He also has a split in his tongue from it being bit as a puppy. He is my picky eater and refuses to eat sometimes but other than that, he is a pretty healthy dude.
This is Sakari. She is also a Siberian Husky and true to her name which means sweet in Inuit, she is an absolute sweethear. She loves everyone and everything. Except squirrels, she wishes they would all die a sweet death in her mouth.
This is Jack, my Arizona rescue. He's... a mutt. I don't know what he is really. He only weighs 15 pounds and is scared of paper but he's a good boy. He is a momma's boy.
This is Harvest. My crested gecko. He is about 7 months old. He lives in a live terrarium and enjoys hunting crickets. He does not like to be held yet.
This is Penny, my sweetest hedgehog. I got her from a breeder at 6 weeks old. She was always curious and sweet. She rarely acts like a hedgehog and loves sleeping on my belly. She is also my hedgehog that does not like it hot.
This is River. She flew from Kentucky with her sister Rose to join my family. She would not eat for the first two months I had her (I had to syringe feed her)and was finally diagnosed with a infected tooth. Two weeks or painkillers and antibiotics and she is eating on her but hasn't gained back her weight yet.
This is Rose, as mentioned above. She is a little chunky and won't use her wheel so we have to make her swim every week. She is my biggest hedgehog weighing over 500 grams. She is also my crankiest hedgehog. She hates everything. The only time she seems to like me is when I rescue her from the water and when I feed her mealworms.
This is Winter, my only male and only albino. He was really really small when I got him, too small to be away from his mom really. I was told he was 8 weeks old when he was probably only 5 weeks or so. However, he has grown so much and has always been a really good eater. He eats me out of house and home really. He has now surpassed Penny in weight. (Hedgehogs do not have sexual dimorphism). He is one of my crankiest too but he anoints with everything so sometimes I get to see his pink face.
That's my fur family. They mean the world to me. They are my life and my world.
