3kaw- do you think Neka would use an enclosed feeding den? He might just need to feel a bit more secure while eating as he is healing up.

We had one before, took it out cause he kept trying to climb it after the surgery.
I just yesterday gave him a shelf back so thinking the den will be next. Though using it is a term I use lightly lol. He likes to pick everything out of the bowl lay it all out to see and inspect then pick the one he wants to eat.

Oh lord, mine do this too. I gave them a feeding den and their reaction is "wow mom, thanks for the new place to poop... now we can eat in the litterbox and it'll be clean". *sigh*

have you tried a soda box ? the ones that 12 packs are in ? I did the den thing it never worked out but found useing the soda box is perfect for them bige enough for them to eat and feel safe in but to small to real poop in properly lol ... it mite sound gross but for some you mite have to stick the box next to or on the shelf they poop in instinks tell them to hide it where others cant smell it pluss its kinda like if you lick a donute or peice of candy its yours and know one else will want it ... silly little guys they can be
