Yummy I'll take some yesterday's news with my raw chicken please Ugh, Olivia keep dragging her raw meat into her litter box and ends up eating yesterday's new pellets with it. I'm off to look at the feeding den thread and get one of those going. Any one else have ferrets who seem to prefer some crunchy pellet litter with their meat? Or perhaps they like to shake and bake it with their clumping litter? Yuck, I don't know which is worse ;D I'm assuming a few pieces of yesterday's new here and there isn't going to hurt?

Do you have a feeding den? It might decrease the amount of stashing in the litter box.

Or any of mine I'm assuming it's mainly because they feel safer in there, given that it's a den like surrounding.

Yeah my two like theirs in their litter, I've since invested in those little shower hooks and started clipping mine to the cage until my FN shows up to make a feeding den.

I use those little rings that you use to put cue cards on for studying for tests haha. They work greak for holding the litter boxes to the side of the FN.

I bought mine at Walmart, mine are shower hooks actually but they are the same thing as the cue cards, shower hooks that are round. I actually found them in the shower curtain area though. I also bought a TON of bedding hooks on Ebay super cheap, they sell em in sets of 12, 24, 50, and increments of 100s. I bought a 100, why not. LOL!

Sonnys feeding dens are cardboard boxes

Two of mine love to take theirs in the shredded paper dig box, I moved it into a much taller tote to combat this which worked for a couple weeks. Not only are they eating paper, but they mess the paper up and cover it in blood and feathers! I have an aquarium where I put larger prey, complete with pop box "den", nope, there's paper bags one liked eating in for awhile, one likes the tunnels, etc.

Oh yeah I forgot Sonny has a big brown paper bag that he likes to eat in. It's disgusting and full of grease spots (like his cardboard boxes) but he loves eating in there.

A wire insert might help? My fuzz loves to dig in any boxes if they don't have a wire insert it seems.

I got the cue card rings at my university bookstore haha, but those shower rings are probably wayyy cheaper so go for that, for sure. A brown paper bag... what a genius idea!
