I'm sorry, I thought you posted that Bella only had turkey and pork. I have no idea where you can get elk or kangaroo. Shouldn't we be working on getting Bella to eat bone in meats?

How large are the chunks in her soup? You said you put no water in her soup, didn't you?

How did you introduce Sophia to bone in meats?

They r probably about the size of my fingernail. That is correct no more water in soup unless it is a little of the good stuff (blood). Bella is more stubborn than Sophia so tips would be greatly appreciated! Anyway I started out small and worked my way up to chunks u know her size than I introduced pieces of bone to Sophia. With Bella I don't know if I introduced her too soon but she wasn't having it, like I said she would spit out pieces that I snook in her soup. Remember a couple days ago is the whole thing on how I introduced Sophia to bone. I am going to make it chunkier when I make her next batch like I usually do. I wiill be making her a batch tomorrow.

Am I on the right track to get Bella on bone-in?

We need to get her to eat larger size chunks so that she will have to chew in order to build up her jaw muscles. Start increasing the size of the chunks very gradually. You can entice her to eat by drizzling a little salmon oil on them. So yes, I think you're on the right track.

I go larger with every batch so how large should I go? She has to really chew the gizzard as well.

Bella has an infection. I noticed a little discharge when I was wiping her down with a wet washcloth. Her urine will get tested tomorrow and she will get an antibiotic.

Other than that she ate close to 2 oz 6 times yesterday and she is active. Sophia appears to be fine.

She ate twelve ounces of food? That's a lot of food for one day. It's just four ounces shy of a whole pound. We'll wait 'till her infection is cleared up to go further. The size of the chunks should be about an inch long and a half inch thick.

Isabella weighs .90K she gained 2! Sophia is still the same I believe at 1.15K. Believe it or not nearly 12oz of food. I appreciate you reminding me that is almost a pound of food lol! My little piggy! I realize when I sent my last message that I have enough soupie prepared which is in the freezer and ready to go for at least a few more days. Once it is done I will make it thicker. I think it is a little soon for slivers like that cuz she still eats around some of them. Yes I would like to see how she does after I get antbiotics in her. I am guessing when I say give it until Monday? She should be starting to feel better by then. As long as the vet gives me the script on Friday when I take her sample down.

Isabella got her prescription and probotic, started it tonight. I am sure she will be ready by Mon-Tues for a chunkier soup.

Isabella is a resillent little girl. She did not even seem sick. I know ferrets hide sickness. She has been eating nearly a pound of food everyday! I have enough of her turkey soupie left for a day. Then I will be ready to move onto the next step. Is there anything specific you want me to get for her?
