Zeke is vomiting. He seemed fine this afternoon, nothing new. He got up from nap and dry heaved. He did it once or twice more, thought maybe hairball. Gave pumpkin/oil. He's now vomiting a bit and it looks like pumpkin. trying not to panic.

I've learned to never say never Heather.
He's not been around anyone with the flu. He pooped a little bit ago, and it was small but okay shape. He ate around 6 just fine, and was put in cage about 25mins after that. If it got anything it would most likely be a chicken wing in his cage, but they dont really look like they were touched. He ate the pumpkin willingly i didn't have to syringe it.
Would lax be worth trying?

I might be tempted. Just because he hasn't been in direct contact with someone who has had a virus doesn't mean that you haven't. You don't even have to know that you've been in contact, you only need to have brought the virus home ciao

Oh boy... I'm sorry! Hoping it's nothing. Mine throw up now and then for seemingly no reason... just to make mommy panic I guess. Sometimes they eat something too fast as well...and it is shedding season... Do you think he threw up the same amount as what you gave him? Any teeth grinding? If yes to both, it may be serious. If no, I think I'd just give more lax. Pieces get stuck or irritate their throat sometimes. The jerky they make on their own is a big problem for me. I can't always keep up with it all and sometimes that causes hacking/vomiting that clears up in a day or so. Hoping little Zeke is ok!

Mine will also cough/gag/vomit a bit when they've got a hair stuck in their throats. It's irritating, and they are trying to get it out. I have found getting them to take some fluids also helps if this is the case, as well as a bit of lax. I'd def. keep an eye, and see if it happens again. The advantage to raw fed is that some vomiting doesn't affect them nearly as badly as kibble fed ferrets. They seem to take it more in their stride.

Zeke is still sick. Vomiting, feels warmer then neka did with blockage, and runny poops, very listless. Talked to vet she thinks it's likely bacterial. He's going in this afternoon to be sure.

Zeke staying at vets for now. He had a very runny poop on the way there, then could not stop going. He pooped pretty much continuously just liquid, stinky and orange (pumpkin) They are thinking bacterial still but doing xray to be sure. They kept him so they can better watch hydration. He's only very slightly showing signs of dehydration but with the continuous bowel movments that could change fast.

Oh, no poor wee one. No, Michelle is doing house calls on Thurs. She is in right around 6. One of the other vets there is good with the small animals, can't remember her name off hand. She doesn't know them as well but she's very gentle. Healing candle is still lit....poor wee one. Hopefully, a bit of antibiotics will help him out
ciao

Thoughts and prayers for your little one. Hopefully it is just something bacterial and they can right it with antibiotics. At least he is at the vets where they can keep him hydrated.
