Hi, she's fine at the moment but my husband has the flu so I'm trying my best to make sure she doesn't catch it from him. She's sulking as I can't let her downstairs lol just hope I don't catch it too! Are there any signs to watch out for in case she catches a cold?

If she gets ill her eyes and nose will get watery and goopy. I hope your husband feels better Poor little Kaiju hehe Marco sulks when I leave for class in the morning. Has she been eating okay?

Thankyou, hes feeling a bit better this evening so hopefully it will pass quickly. Yeah she's eating and drinking still. No sign of a runny nose and her eyes are clear so fingers crossed she doesn't get sick! She keeps giving me the stink eye haha she reminds me of a sulking toddler I gave her an egg yolk a minute ago tho as a peace offering As soon as he's back on his feet we'll go pick up Kaijus whole prey. I can't wait to start her on it! Depending on how well she does with it, I think I would like to do half and half. I do worry if she gets enough calcium sometimes with her picky bone eating.

Whole prey bones are also smaller so it might be easier for her to chew have you tried giving her quail? They have teeny little bones

I've tried her with wood pidgeon which I think is a similar size and she ate the lot. It had the organs still inside aswell. I get them every time they are available from the store, but they are not always there. At least with the whole prey store I will be able to order things in to pick up

Hi Bella, sorry for being a bit MIA, husband is a lot better now but unfortunatley its my turn lol I don't have the flu but a slight cold and sore throat. Kaiju is fine though but still having to be careful not to pass it on. Its hard work being ill and having a ferret! Looking forward to getting back to normal and having snuggles again

I know! She just poofed out all of a sudden its amazing how much her colour and markings have changed as she's growing up too. She's been a stubborn little monster at the moment though not eating her chicken wings! Im thinking I might have to start a calcium supplement? I'll be going to the shop later to see if I can find some bone meats I havnt tried yet. Any suggestions? everything else she gobbles down, but she's so lazy with bones!

You can buy bonemeal powder or make some eggshell powder by grinding dried shells in a coffee grinder or with a mortar and pestle. Is she just picking around the bones?
