I did end up taking him the the emergency vet... I got a different doctor... Not the one I like, but she seemed confident. We did bloods and I took the xray with me that I did at work. Everything came back normal. A few things were SLIGHTLY elevated like calcium and glucose, but she attributed those to stress. They were less than 2 points elevated. We are continuing the antibiotics and added metronidazole and sucralfate to the mix because he did have a bloody stool Friday. He BMs are all over the place.. Some are seedy and full of mucous others are normal.... The vet suggested getting an aspirate or biopsy done within a few days if the swelling hasn't went down.... It goes done and seems to come back.. Fluctuating a lot. Sometimes he acts fine others I can't even get him to move. I'm having a hard time feeding him... Sometimes he eats voraciously... Others times he freaks out and won't. I've got a ton of different food to feed him and nothing seems to hold his attention. I mix wysong kibble and cans and Nature's Variety limited ingredient cans. His blood work showed slight dehydration so I've been making sure he gets as much moisture as possible....
I cant do the biopsy this week... I'm traveling to Philadelphia for the Philadelphia Kennel Club National Dog Show. So I don't want to have sutures for my other half to deal with... (I'll be showing a pyrenean shepherd, watch for me on Thanksgiving in the herding group of I can win breed)
Will update later in the week if the aspirate gets done.

Have food sensitivities been considered?

I've taken him completely off everything chicken and the diarrhea cleared up... Every once in a while there is some but it's usually only 1 stool here or there. He is on duck and rabbit mixes at this point.. Kibble, freeze dried raw and canned of both. He is doing a lot better on those foods.

I hope that's the answer. But sometimes it takes more than one round of antibiotics to eliminate some microbes. Best wishes. Please keep us updated.

Aww I wonder if it's just a nasty virus (weird flu strain) and has to run it's course? What about an ulcer? (Not to add more worry for you) I don't have experience with that, but when you said his stools were off and sometimes he freaks when you feed him. I hope the medicine kicks in and he is feeling better! I'll cross my fingers for you this weekend and be watching for you on Thanksgiving! My parents and I starting getting into confirmation classes and a couple local shows with Belgian Sheepdogs about 15 years ago. We're starting to get into agility and love watching all the dog shows!

Haven't done the aspirate yet... Money is pretty tight right now... I'm having issues with getting him to eat... He has always been a brat but he just isn't interested... He had a violent vomiting episode yesterday... No idea what set it off.. Stools were mucous and gross.. Then they went to seedy.. Then normal now small (short not thin) and kinda formed.. He has always had seedy Stools occasionally.... Sometimes they are green.. But it was never a constant thing.. Just occasional green. I'm at a loss as to what to do.. I've had bloods and x-rays and nothing shoes wrong... But the vomiting bothers me... And the lymph nodes had went down.. But a day and a half not on the antibiotics flared them back up... I'm just an emotional wreck right now... Especially since I have to leave him.... And my friend isn't able to take him anywhere and neither is my brother... I really have no help. But I just can't back out of the show... We will see how it goes... Its all I can do right now....

It's probably good that you didn't get the aspirate done (another thing to worry you while you're away)... to get him to eat; could you make him a warm soup? Even if it's kibble? Maybe the canned food with warm water and a little oil? I can understand your frustration and feeling helpless (we've all been there one way or another) but try to see beyond this 'bad' stuff and know that he loves you and you love him! Together you can get through this I wish there was some way I could help you but I hope these words can get you by It's been so long since I've been to a dog show, and I know there are some very strict rules- is there any way you can bring him with you? If you have a playpen/carrier? I'm sure it's a long shot, but thought it could be worth mentioning. Take a deep breath, smile, and know we're all pulling for you both!

He started eating Friday morning before i left! And was ripping and tearing around. Thank the Lord.. He ate 3 bowls of food. I was feeding him science diet I/D feline warmed up since it's bland... And finally he started eating. My other half texted my thus morning and said he ate well and played a lot. So all is well while I'm away!
I can't bring him to this show. It's the National Show and it's benched.. So once your in.. You cannot leave until marked time. And with all these dogs... Bad idea. We didn't best of breed... Which was fine.. We just need 4 points to finish out her grand champion. And we got 3 today for select b**ch. So we will finish the title tomorrow.
