That poop looks pretty good. Whose is it? It still looks a little seedy, but those specks could also be the eggshell passing through. How do you grind them? Do you get it to a powder? This is what my kids' poops look like if I don't get their shells fine enough. Two steps forward, one step back... that's the way it goes with ferrets <sigh> Don't get discouraged.. they WILL get there. Don't push the chunks on them yet. Step all the way back to thinner soup if need be, but try to avoid adding the powdered kibble. They really need to get that taste out of their memories. You're doing great! I'm proud of all 3 of you.

It was Chanel's, fresh from the market I actually don't have a grinder, I just use this little blender for the eggshells. Some of it gets powdered and some of it doesn't. I try to blend blend blend. Thanks so much Gina. Couldn't do it without ya. *tears of joy*

I use a blender too, and like you said some of it gets powdered, some doesn't. I put it through a strainer and anything that doesn't go through gets blended some more.

All is well.. the mucousy greenish part is underneath so that's what appeared first (normal funky switch poop) then it was followed by a perfect raw poop.

Thank you From now on I'll know the weird poops are normal. Both of my guys are steadily eating the soup. I'm continuing to sprinkle very little kibble in it.

Start adding in chicken slivers. The easiest way to sliver it is to freeze a chunk and use a vegetable peeler or sharp knife and 'shave' some off. Try to get them about 1/8 inch wide by maybe 1/2 inch long and very thin. Just add a few to start with and try to make sure they eat those few. You may need to hand-feed them. Once they eat the few without fuss, add a few more and start making them bigger, a tiny bit at a time. And keep decreasing that kibble.

Not gonna lie...prepping the meals are an annoying task. My blender is horrible. I can't wait for the day I just give them full chunks and bone to eat. It's okay if the heart isn't fully blended into the batch, right? As long as they eat it?
They both eat slivers well, and they eat from the bowl now. Still working on less kibble for Coco!

Making soups is a royal PITA! Unfortunately, for most ferrets it's a necessary evil but this stage doesn't last forever. The heart is fine chunked up as long as they're eating it.
Since they're both doing well with slivers, start increasing the size and amount of slivers and decreasing the amount of soup. And keep cutting back on the kibble for stubborn Coco!
Getting them to take the slivers on their own is a huge hurdle and you've passed that one. You're getting there! You'll just keep changing things a little at a time so they don't notice that anything is different. The next big hurdle is bones, so make sure you get something small and bony in the next week or so.

Okay Chanel is eating bigger pieces and Coco is getting better at eating less kibble. Do you recommend a bone to start with? My blender is broken lol I got it for $5 but still...I don't have a blender now.

Well, that just means they don't get any more soup, lol. Small bones.. chicken wingtips, quail, cornish game hen. Why don't you get a CGH to start with? The wingtips are very tender, but still crunchy, most of the bones are small, and it's a taste they'll be familiar with.
What size are their slivers/chunks now. Keep working just with those for the next few days. I'd like them to be eating pieces about 1/4 in by 1/2 inch before we start on bones. They'll also be ready to start on organs pretty soon. What do you have available?
