I'm wondering what treats people use for training (and just for treating). The tiny bite-size kind for immediate positive reinforcement.
I'm working toward feeding 100% raw. All the treats I've found commercially have total junk in them. And the consensus seems to be against using Ferretone for health reasons.
I have a dehydrator and was thinking of making dried liver tidbits. Anyone have any experience with that? Or other treats that would work well? Prefer not to use raw meat.

I use Stella & Chewys freeze dried stuff. My kids LOVE it, and its dry so it works well as a small treat. It is all raw

I also sometimes use olive oil. I get a bottle cap, shallow bowl, etc, and hold it in my hand. When they do whatever I'm trying to get them to do, they get a couple licks from the bowl. Mine LOVE extra virgin olive oil, so it works. Fish oil usually works well too.

Mine also love fish oil. Jerky treats. I do keep tone in the house, but it's for more serious things now, like fear biting, or medicine. Freeze dried is another good one.

thanks for the tips! I think I may give fish oil a go. The chewies also sound great - I'll put them on the list for my next shopping spree.
