Yesterday evening I portioned out their entire amounts of organs for this week and will feed a little bit of them daily to make sure they get their correct amount The girls have seemed to both eat less towards the end of the week also. Not sure why but that's why I didn't do as many mice this week as a snack.

Sophie is becoming picky about eating mice to the point where it may be an issue. The past week or so she picks at it and eats it slowly or only part of it...Now its getting to the point where hopefully she will eat half and then Zoe ends up eating the rest cuz she loves mice! any tips on this?

She might not be hungry. Raw fed ferrets typically are fed twice a day. You could try skipping a meal and then seeing if she eats the mice any better. If she still doesn't want it then i'd take it away for a couple of weeks and then offer it again. Sometimes they get bored with the same menu.

Got it! great advice. Thank you. Hopefully the menus looked good to you here are pics of the girls from two days ago: Zoe is the silver baby (she is actually a black roan mitt, but it doesn't appear that way in this pic) and Sophie is the black sable baby On another note, Shift has been eating more chicken raw bites this week and seems to have improved alot. Not sure what that means but I will keep you posted. His raw food (lamb natures variety frozen raw bites) wont be in until sometime next week so for now I'm feeding him the chicken raw bites

That is great news, they are looking good! If he can tolerate chicken then by all means feed him chicken. Just monitor his poops closely and if they seem yukky then back off the chicken.

Will do! Shift is even more active today! and ate some Stella's duck and raw bites soups this afternoon. I think I am going to drop his pred dosage down a bit since he is doing better. He received his 1st Lupron shot yesterday also, (always been on the DES, but not available right now) so I'm sure that will start helping too. I am starting to think that maybe he was just stressed because the girls are new arrivals and he is finally getting over it. That would be awesome if it wasn't a food allergy!

Stress can cause IBD flares, changes in homes, new people, new ferrets, new food, it can all cause upset tummies. Adrenal disease and IBD often go hand in hand too. How long has he been on pred?

Yes that does make sense. He started pred 8/31/14. I dropped it down on the 18th and I noticed last nigh his poos were a little softer again. Not terrible, but they were looking pretty darn good before. I cut back his raw chicken bites last night and this morning and the firmed up slightly.

Cam received a DES implant on Wednesday. My vet thinks between the arrival of Sophie (almost been a month and Cam doesnt like her) and getting the implant just really stressed him out causing the 1 bloody poo. I had him on Sulcarafate for a few days and he is doing better. However, most of his poos are not the same as they were before. They are softer and less formed. Not Diarrhea, just more of blobs but usually brown in color. His activity level has not changed.

Oh Cool! Thank you, I will get some of that ordered! I have bone meal...will that substitute for egg shell powder? An update on the boys: Cams poos have been looking better, seem to be forming a little bit better. Activity and everything else seems good too Shift is in full swing of his comeback! He is now eating completely raw soups 3x a day (just like Cam) with no digestive issues. His activity also appears to be increasing as well (dance)

Update! Finally got the Natures Variety frozen Raw Lamb patties for Shift!! Have already been adding in his and Cams soups since yesterday and will a little bit of chicken. I am awaiting the Freeze dried raw Stella and Chewy's Dandy Lamb...should be in today! They are eating fine and Poops have improved again. It seems like the stools are always different from one day to the next.
I ordered the Purina FortaFlora pro biotic that you recommended and it should be in next week. I also ordered Ventri Science Composure Liquid max. Its a liquid to help animals regain balance of hormones during stressful times. I think the stress may be why their poos are always changing.
More Raw foods have arrived for the girlies finally! lots of chicken necks! New foods we will be trying in next weeks menu is Pork liver and beef pancreas! AND..today I am going to see if Sophie is ready to eat mice again...hopefully yes!
All in all, everything is going great!
