Traditional Modern Mixed Practice Surgery treating small animals, livestock and horses.
Telephone no. Can be used for emergencies out of hours 24/7 365 days a year. They always have their own staff and vets on call for emergencies.
I saw a vet called Cat Ross. She was very ferret savvy having worked closely with a ferret rescue in the past and was aware of the issues of over-vaccinating. Do not know about other vets in the practice.
Cangen Hdppi - vaccine for Canine Distemper £40 per ferret included brief health check & history prior to vaccine.
Microchipping - £20 per ferret
Not sure of other costs but staff are friendly and very helpful.
They have onsite shop in the reception area, consulting rooms, two operating rooms, separate dog and cat wards, onsite laboratory, x-rays, ultrasound scanners, endoscopy equipment, ultrasonic teeth descalers etc.
They have regular visiting specialist Vets in Cardiology, Opthalmology & Orthopaedics.
As well as small animals they also provide farm & equine services.
Got most of the info of their website. I have only been a couple of times for the ferrets but the vet I mentioned was excellent with the ferts.
Also my boyfs family all take their pets there. Including 3 dogs & a rabbit. They highly recommend the vets there. When my boyfs parents old aged whippet needed PTS they offered the service to do it in their house where she was PTS in the comfort of familiar surroundings with her mom & dad to say goodbye. The vet and nurse that came were very compassionate. And part of the service through the surgery the dog was taken for cremation and when they collected the ashes it was in a beautiful container/envelope of wicker and had a certificate guaranteeing the ashes were the dog's only and she had been done individually. My boyfs parents loved how respectful & compassionate the folks at the surgery were with them and their old sick dog. And were grateful of the complete service the surgery were able to arrange without them having to do any more than arrange the date the dog was PTS and pay the costs. Obviously this type of service costs a bit (think it was £150 2yrs ago) but that was everything the home visit & the cremation etc.
They surgery can take card payments at reception.
As I use the surgery for my ferts over time I will add to my experience on this thread.
