Sooo I wanted to rescue a ferret... but it seems that fate has intervened!
Sophie & Olivia (Olive for short) have stolen my heart and I am now a proud and very nervous first-time ferrent!
I had actually seen these two girls two weeks ago at a Petland near my house and fell in love with their sweet faces and beautiful colours. I figured they'd be sold for sure by the time I was done exams and ready for my new ferrets, but as fate would have it they were the only two left from the litter when I stopped in at Petland today looking for a ferret play pen.
They were a so cute and kept wanting to see me, but they were also a little nippy and quite rambuncious so I wasn't sure if they'd be too much for me to handle. So being the responsible person that I am ;D I asked the Petland to put them on hold for an hour, while I went to check another Petland for a play pen, so that I could think it over long and hard.
Well the other Petland had adorable ferrets too so I played with three females for a little while. One of them was shaking when I first held her and they seemed so calm and sweet at first (had just woken up) but soon turned into little terrors. One of them kept chasing me down and attacking my arm. So suddenly the two I had orginally saw didn't seem so bad in comparison.
Well I went back to the original Petland and asked to see the two girls one more time, and this time they had just woken up and were so sweet and well I just couldn't say no a second time so now I have two beautiful little girls! And here they are:
Olivia:
Sophie:
They are such good buddies too - play well together and always sleep together!
That's all the pics I have for now, I wanted to let them get settled, and they are currently curled up in a bed together but sadly I cant get a good angle on the camera to take a pic.
I do have some questions - but I'm going to post those on a different thread. Leave this one for the "awwwws"
