Are you scruff and stuff feeding them the slivers? If not, start doing that for at least 5 minutes per meal 2-3 meals a day. If they spit it out, pop it back in.

Puddin is doing good with it. Lulu will nibble at it, but if we try and force it she spits it out period. We are just taking it slow with her. Seems to be working and keeping her intrest. BigBoy is actually doing better that I thought he would. He only outright refuses on occasion. He won't go to it on his own unless it's blended though.

Slow and steady wins the race. Are you hand feeding them the slivers still? About what size are the current slivers? Also, they're taking chicken - have you tried any other proteins yet? If not we can try another here soon. What proteins are easiest for you to get? Pork is usually a good second meat.

This past week we started adding different types of meat to their food. We added a little ground beef once or twice and we have added pork. They seem to love it all. We had been having trouble with the slivers with big boy. Puddin and LuLu were doing really well. We dont have to force feed them. Big boy recently started eating the slivers on his own. Its been a long process. We have found that if we have a little bit roughly chopped with slivers and large chunks mixed in they all three eat really well un assisted. We have noticed many occasions Puddin and LuLu both tackling large, thumb size hunks of chicken on their own. Big Boy wont eat those, but the slivers and large grind he eats happily. I think we are making good progress. What do you think? Im also sorry for slacking so much here. I have been sick. I had the flu for the majority of December. A little lazy as well.

I saw that you had the flu, I hope you are feeling better now! That's great that they are all taking chunks, and definitely good that they are taking some different meats. Have you tried mixing heart and liver slivers into the mix as well? If not, let's do that next and try to get all 3 eating those because I would like to start decreasing the amount of soup they get in their chunks but we need to make sure they stay balanced. Also, I know you have been busy with the move and then sick, and I usually have school so I don't generally mind slower switches too much, so I haven't pushed too much. That said, I am here to help but I really can't offer any input if I don't know what's happening at the other end. :/ The more you keep me updated, the more feedback and new techniques/approaches I can offer, and typically when that is happening in a switching thread the switch moves a bit faster too.

Everyone is doing well. The slivers have increased to small chunks. I would say about thumb size. All three babies are eating on their own. I am wondering how we are supposed to incorporate the egg shell now that there is nothing to mix it with. How do we tackle that aspect?

Just mix it into the chunks - the meat is moist and the eggshell will stick to it. I take it you have weaned them off of soup then? How are they doing on eating organ and heart chunks?

RE the organs yes that is fine for now as long as you can ensure that they are all eating enough and they are getting 10% organs. Also, try puréeing the organs and see if they like that better. Sometimes changing the slimy texture makes a big difference and you can get them used to the taste first and then move to chunks. Have you tried any other proteins or just chicken? If you can't find heart you can look for beef tongue and get some taurine supplement. If they aren't getting any I would get a taurine supplement going ASAP. It's fairly cheap and without sufficient taurine they can develop serious neurological, heart, and vision problems. Have you tried searching on google for Asian, Ethnic, and Halal markets in your area? I find the best results by searching "Asian Market, Anchorage, AK" and looking up each specific market type. You could also look for/call butchers. Also also, talk to the meat department of the different stores/markets. Often if they don't have something they can order it for you pretty easily.
