Same for Puddin. Don't worry - in time he will be enjoying the raw soupies as much as the kibble soupies! You can still give him and Lulu a little kibble soup each day, but you need to do the Raw Soup dabbing for all 3 of them. Do it as many times as you can each day until they start to willingly lick it off of your fingers.

So tonight Puddin ate all raw soupie. Like a champ. I'm very proud of him. Lulu only took it if i stuck it in her face with my finger. Bigboy as usual refused. I had to scruff him just to dab his nose and it was still like trying to feed a honey badger. He did lick some from my finger while he was trying to kill me. I put him down and he dashed across the room, stopped then turned and just stared me down. I think he is plotting to kill me in my sleep. Ill be weighing them in the morning to see how they are doing. By the way, when I got up to switch ferrets my little cat Oliver got into the raw soup. Will it hurt him?

Nope! In fact it is good for Oliver. Cats are also obligate carnivores, just like ferrets. Cats have very similar dietary requirements as ferrets, they just typically need a little less bone. Added bonus (besides a healthy cat) - raw fed cats only poop a few times a week! They also produce significantly less dander (many people with cat allergies do just fine with raw fed cats), and it's a lot easier on their kidneys as they stay properly hydrated. *sigh* Oh BigBoy you are going to be trouble aren't you?! At least he licked some off of your finger - that is a good start. Keep on trucking. Lulu is doing well and Puddin is doing amazingly well. Keep up the good work!

Tonight is a very good post. I feel so accomplished! SO I did the ice cube thing. Froze a bunch of raw soup. Tonight Puddin ate 6, count em, 6 cubes worth of soup. His belly was so fat! Its was awesome. To make things better over a period of about an hour LuLu went from being scruffed and dabbed to eating from my finger to spoon feeding! To top it off Big boy actually graduated to finger feeding while scruffed. A huge accomplishment for him.I am so happy right now.

For Lulu, start making sure to keep kibble away from her 2 hours before and after her raw soup as she starts eating more of it.

Im sorry I havent checked in for a few days. Ive been sleep deprived on top of the girls first day back at school. Its just been hectic. That aside, I return with good news. First off, Puddin is still eating soup like a champ. Yay Pud! Second, Mr.Big still wont eat from the bowl, however, he will eat raw soupies as long as its on my finger. Oh and then there is Lu. Ill let this picture tell the story.... I am so very proud of my babies!

Yaaaay babies!!!! (dance) Big steps! Now to just get them (BigBoy I'm looking at you!!) eating it from the bowl without help. As soon as they will eat it without needing to be spoon fed....*drumroll*...you can remove ALL kibble!!!! :boing: Just put raw soupies in their cage instead. You will need to replace it a few times a day, but they should have food available 24/7. It is often helpful to weigh the food before they eat and after you remove the leftovers to get a feel for how much they eat each batch. Give them as much as they will eat! Raw soupies is good for 6-8 hours. I would give them a fresh bowl for breakfast, afternoon/early evening, and then right before bed. As we start to get them towards chunks you'll eventually be able to replace the food less often.

Sorry I havent posted in a few days. My internet was down and its a pain posting here on my phone. As for the babies they are doing good. Pud and Lu are eating on their own with no prompting at all. Mr Big I still have to scruff to start, get some on his lips and then he gives up the fight and eats from the spoon. He is so dang stubborn! Anyway, thats the deal for now!

SO this morning Pud and Lu did good as always. I felt like there was some back sliding with Mr Big though. It was almost like day one again. He fought and acted like we were feeding him poison. I dont get it... this little boy is driving me crazy.

It's not uncommon for them to do the 2 steps forward 1 step back dance. Did you change anything about the batch of soup today? Was it perhaps a little off from sitting in the fridge too long if it was a batch you thawed earlier? If not, then he was probably just having an off day. Like I said it's not unusual. Just keep up with the dabbing. Silly boy.
