A menu is required for graduation.
It shows us that the balance is correct. It's not meant to be something set in stone, but rather a guideline for their balance and variety and a measure for us to ensure we have taught correct balancing to you. The menu should be in a week format, with am/pm meals. From the sound of it right now, I hate to say it, but your menu is not properly balanced and that will cause issues long term if not corrected.
We dont have a menu written out but we feed them bone in such as chicken wings and thighs at least four times a week. They should be getting 7-9 bone-in meals a week. Is 4 times a week 4 Days or 4 Meals (1/2 the day's food)? Also, I know you are still working on getting more proteins, but they need to have more than one bone source or their variety will be thrown off. Cornish Game Hen is a great source of bone. Other bone-in meats to look for are Rabbit (check the Asian Markets near you), quail, turkey necks/wing tips, duck, silkie hen, etc.
We also give them chicken and beef liver at least twice a week. Chicken liver is their favorite! Again, is twice a week 2 meals or 2 days? Either is too much though. They should get 1.5 meals a week of organs, half liver, half other organs (kidney, brain, spleen, etc - Asian markets are a great source). Too much organ can lead to vitamin A toxicity.
the rest of the time we give them mixed hearts and gizzards. The same goes here. They need to have 1.5 full meals a week of heart. This is absolutely critical. Heart is a vital source of taurine in their diet. Taurine is an essential nutrient for them - meaning they cannot live without it and they can't make it so they have to get it from their diet. Taurine is vital for their brain and eye health. If you are having trouble finding sufficient heart sources, let me know and we can work it out. Asian/Ethnic markets are a GREAT source. Beef tongue it also high in taurine. Barring that, supplements - while not ideal - can be used.
Gizzards are great for their teeth. However, keep in mind that gizzards count as a muscle meat only - not organs.
We have just gotten them to eat pork but it took some work. We have found if we soak anything at all in chicken liver blood we can trick them into eating it. Oh and they like game hens as well.Good, add the game hen for more bone-in meat.
Keep working on the pork. What other variety are they eating? Variety is super important and they need to have a Bare Minimum of 3 different protein sources - e.g. pork, chicken, beef. Game hen is typically not considered different enough to from chicken to add sufficient variety to count as a "separate" protein. Beef is strong tasting and can take a little extra time to introduce them to, but is a great protein - red meat is really important to have in their diet for the iron and vitamin B. Other good proteins you can usually find without much trouble include turkey, lamb, goat, duck, rabbit, etc.
I really can't stress how important proper balance and variety is. Without proper balance and variety they will eventually end up with devastating nutrient deficiencies that, by they time they are bad enough to be noticed, will be too late to fix. An improperly balanced raw diet is more dangerous than even the worst kibble.
It is super important that their meals be balanced so they get the correct nutrients. Below is an outline of what each week should roughly look like. It is a guideline that can be rearranged to fit you and your fuzzards, but the # of meals should all be met. They need to get 1.5 meals of organ, 1.5 meals of heart, and 7-9 bone-in meals each week with at least 3 different proteins.
If you keep me updated on what you are trying and how they are reacting, I can help you get them accepting more protein and we can work on fine-tuning the balance.
That's what I am here for remember.
