You go Nixxie!!!!! Keep it up and that one willing lick will become a full on raw eater And yes chicken feet are great for them. Add a bit of muscle meat and you have a decent bone in meal :$

I have gotten a second lick out of her. I dabbed a bit on her nose and she shook it off mostly landing on my shirt so I added another dab and we got a taste!
I am a little worried about Gilly's poos. They are a quite runny. Hubby handled the morning meal this morning, so I really can't say what she ate.
For dinner tonight I have fed her a whole quail. She hasn't shown much interest in it yet. I may need to cut it up some for her.
Update: The moment I cut off a wing for her she took off with the rest of the quail. Figures. She has definitely taken some solid chunks out of it, but she still has about 2/3s of it left.
Nax did really well taking soup from a spoon tonight.

With Nixxie keep dabbing her nose every 5 to 10 minutes. Keep spoon feeding Nax for now. Gilly- is she actually consuming much bone yet? Are you adding the pinch of eggshell powder to her meals?

I don't think Gilly is consuming as much bone as I though, and I am find a lot of clean picked bones. She does eat some though, I can really hear the crunch and crackle when she eats the bone, she just doesn't eat much. I started adding the egg shell, but haven't in the last two days so I will continue to add it, until I hear otherwise.

Can you get chicken necks? She would have a much harder time eating around it. If not what you need to do is give her JUST chicken wings for about three days. Segment the wings, cut the middle part in two between the bones, and cut the large end along the bone as much as you can so the marrow is exposed along the length. Feed her twice a day, removing and tossing the old one each time.

I have been trying to figure out how to post photos from my phone on what she does to chicken necks. She eats the ends of each joint but that is about it for the bone.
I had some chicken wings. Cutting the end was fun, I think I need better knives. She is eating more bone. He poops are firming up, but they are very pale. I am a little worried about that.
Yesterday, someone ate all the soupies, I just don't know who because I didn't catch them in the act. Who ever it was knew to go after it when I wasn't looking.

Stools will be changed depending on what they eat Chicken is lighter colored and so are the stools. With the necks in that case, try smashing them with a cleaver.

She seems to be doing very well with smaller bones like chicken rib bones. We got a whole chicken and gave her the rib cage today.
I am still fighting the other two with the soup. I am definitely frustrated. I dab their nose constantly, sometimes they will take it, but they won't eat on their own without my encouragement. I put out 2 cubes in the morning for them and dab through out the day. I have also been putting two cubes in with them when they go in their cage at night. Most nights it is untouched. Other nights it is eaten, but I suspect that it is Gilly eating it and not Nix or Nax.

Okay. With them pick up and hand feed with the spoon for now. They are being wee drama queens Good that she is eating rib bone. It is a good start! Work on her with smashed up necks as well

Nixxie 1lb 7oz Mostly kibble, but we did get a few bites of soup in. Normal poops, very active this week.
Nax 2lb Mostly kibbles, about a tbls of soup most days. Normal poops all week a little looser today. normal activity.
Gilly 1lb 14oz she isn't touching kibble at all. It is extremely hard to judge how much she is eating because she won't eat in one sitting, she snacks through out the day. It seems like she is eating a lot though. Clean picking all the larger bones and I am not finding any left overs when I feed her whole quail. She is also eating soup as well.
I was horrible and didn't right down the weekly menu as I went this week and my memory recall is horrid. Starting tomorrow everything will be written down.

Alright, we need to step it up for Nix and Nax. What I would like you to do is remove the kibble first thing in the morning, and leave it out all day. It will go back in at bedtime. They can be left with the raw soup if back in cage. This should help whet their appetites and since you will be hand feeding a couple times a day they will be fine.

Perfect timing, I was just getting ready to let them out of their cage. I'll put the kibble on my desk. Cats can still get to it but not the ferrets.

Nixxie and Nax are sill being stubborn. On the bright side Geri just figured out the soup is food after trying all day between quail and soup.
