Here is an update on Kokini Here is a photo. The vet says it is looking better finally. The Pred is making Kokini eat and drink everything that is in here reach. I tried to converting her to Raw when I switched my ferrets. Kokini was not interested. The past week she has been raiding the ferrets hidey holes steeling their chicken bones and meats. She even tried to eat a half eaten mouse. she goes through all their tunnels looking for food. She got one of the ferret tents stuck on her head the other day and was thrashing around the room trying to get it off.

Almost 2 years after this happened I have finally found out the reason for this. This may help with other Husky owners. Kokini has Zinc Deficiency or Zinc malabsorption disorder. this is common in Husky type breeds After quite a few vet visits and treating the symptoms, I stumbled across this. Her latest symptom was red swollen paws and her chewing on them. I have started her on Zinpro tablets and she is improving. she is not chewing her pads anymore and They are no longer red and swollen. obviously Vets do not have any knowledge of this. or choose to treat the symptoms instead of the underlying cause. www.snowdog.guru/zinc-deficiency-the-hidden-cause-of-sickness-in-huskies/
