My ferrets are filling out they have grown in length and now their wee bods are filling out they are now on the second to last holes on their body strap on their harnesses - they were on the last holes up until last night's walk when the last hole was to tight for their bods They did well on their walk they have realised how much fun it is to run. Although getting them running at the same time and in the same direction is the next thing to work on. They are pretty good most of the time

Managed to get the boys weighed on my tiny scales as they were quite sleepy this morning - woke them up to early Haggis is approx 1060g and Neeps is approx 1025g the needle moved about a bit cause its a mechanical scale I have a feeling they could be a bit more but at least I have a weight of some kind Still waiting on better scales coming seemed to have been delayed grr. The ferts are still growing so who knows what they will weigh in another few weeks I think they wild be good size May have a Tatties to join them looking at some raw fed bino kits on the weekend hopefully all excited

Tatties is here and tiny compared to my monsters. Now while Haggis & Neeps are less like tummies with teeth wee Tatties seems ravenous. So far he is eating the same amount as Haggis & Neeps together Gonna weigh the wee fella later and see how he gets on at least he already is used to eating raw & whole prey He has lovely white teeth & a very soft fluffy coat. I think he will always be a little one he comes from a line of working stock which were bred to be smaller to fit down rabbit holes - his dad was a pretty good sized hob though

Change of diet for tonight found a 1kg entire turkey leg in the supermarket today. Only cost £2.70 figured it would do the boys a couple of days worth of meals. Thought may as well feed it whole & see what happens. Well Tatties decided to try and stash it in a tube he got half his body in and realised it would not fit so started munching anyways. All 3 boys chowing down on turkey

Yeah that's what I was thinking - they have had a good munch on the thigh today and most of the skin is gone. Unfortunately had to do blockage protocol with Tatties today - when I cleaned them out this morning I noticed a good pit of one of the fleeces was shredded - Haggis & Neeps have never munched on any blankets ever so I know it was Tatties. He was bright enough and running about like a lunatic this morning but his wee tummy was stiff and distended. I found some of the blanket bits in his poops from overnight Can't get tinned pumpkin here so spoon fed him duck fat and Vaseline, alternating them. His tummy feels normal now and he pooped out the rest i think as the amount seemed to match what was missing - He was eating and drinking fine throughout - I think he sensed I was trying to help him he did not protest at being scruffed when I started spoon feeding him. By the end he was licking the spoon without needing scruffing - Haggis n Neeps got jealous of the extra attention Tatties was getting so they had some duck fat too. Last 3 poops Tatties did were normal coloured but soft & slimey from all the lubrication - his tummy feels like my other two and he was munching on some more turkey leg and had a good drink and snorkelled with the rest in the water bowl still keeping close eye on him. No more blankets - they have some soft, fresh dust extracted meadow hay at the mo (I was saving it for colder nights but they are loving making a mess with it lol). Will feed him some duck fat next couple of days just to ensure he is ok
