I've seen all 3 eating the rabbit at this point, this is another one that will probably need my assistance, hopefully the next time I order they won't be out of small rabbit.
Here is my final menu to submit for approval.

Tues AM: Mice Tues PM: Quail
Wed AM: Quail Wed PM: Cavy
Thurs AM: Cavy Thurs PM: Rabbit

Whole prey meals are italicized.

The fur may be putting them off. You may need to skin the first few for them, until they learn to eat it.

That could be. I did notice with the head they ate it like a banana and the skin was left like a peel. Personally I think the skull of this size rabbit is too big for them to crush, they couldn't do it so I did it and it got consumed.

The important thing is that they all eventually ate some, even if it wasn't when I first gave it to them. They had their 2 rabbit meals Thursday night and Friday morning, last night was rat and today was both mice meals.
I am pleased to report that I saw Loki eat his entire mouse tonight. He ate about half and went to check out Thor's. She told him to back off so he kind of went back to his. It was about this time that Clyde had finished his and made a play for the rest of Loki's mouse. Loki screamed but gave up the mouse to Clyde, so I took it from Clyde and gave it back to Loki. I removed Clyde from the feeding den/tunnel system it's attached to and Loki not wanting to lose his dinner again finished off the rest of his mouse. So proud of him.

Awww, good for Loki (and for Daddy for rescuing Loki's dinner)! Whenever you're ready with a final menu, go ahead and post it for me to check and submit. I'll be working on getting your 'exam' ready. The answers should all be in the information overload on the first page of this thread, so just read over that when you get time so hopefully you'll be able to answer all the questions without looking back.

Sorry about that.. our network at work has been giving us problems. IT gave us a 5-minute warning this morning that we wouldn't have any internet for the rest of the day. I've pm'd you the final exam. As soon as you're done with that, I'll submit your menu.

Congratulations (dance) You've graduated and you're ready to walk this path alone, now . You have the foundation to help you feed your fuzzes in a more natural and healthy manner. Please remember that your learning never stops, and dietary needs change from ferret to ferret and throughout each their lives. I would like you to be aware that though you now have the capability and the knowledge to create your little ones diets you are never alone and that your mentor (you need only pm) is always available to you. The list is also a very good resource and you should always be aware that it's available to answer any questions you may have either about diet or care. Good luck, in a few days either Sherry will lock down this thread and place it in the archives but be aware that you can always look through it as a reference tool but you just will not be able to post to it. Your mentor will be in to congratulate you shortly :goodjob:
ciao

Congratulations! I'm so proud of your fuzzies: Thor, the soup-hater; stubborn little Loki, finally eating everything; and Clyde, the easy-going 'I'll eat anything' kid! You did a great job with them!
I'll be around if you have any questions or need help with anything. Don't hesitate to ask!

Thank you so much for your help Gina. My 3 little fuzzbutts send you their thanks as well. Not only will they have a longer healthier life, but I can apply my knowledge to any ferrets I get in the future. Thank you so much.
