I too was using Yesterdays News when I started this thread, I have since switched to Swheat Scoop, oh the wonders! I really haven't had many problems with tracking... I don't put much in the pan, just enough to cover the whole bottom until I'm sure they won't dig in it anymore, I may have to invest in the tracking mat later when I add more litter in. With as little litter as I put in, I don't have issues with it sticking to the bottom of the pan, occasionally it sits on the bottom of the pan but I definitely couldn't say that it was sticking to it. Oh and I meant to add that they only dug in it on the first day, with it being scoopable it's been a lifesaver.
For extra odor people use baking soda or baking powder? I can't remember now. Someone clue me in? With us getting a possible third I want to minimize odor as much as possible, it doesn't smell now but I'm not sure how it will be when I get a third. The place I get my litter from doesn't have the multi-cat version.
