I finally made a choice! I bought a bag of Scwheat Scoop today because World's best is SOOOO much more expensive I just couldn't wrap my head around paying so much more money for a smaller bag of WB's so Scwheat Scoop it is! I did, however, get the MULTICAT version. Petsmart carries it, yay! (If you're wondering, Petsmart is my go-to store because I work at a vet clinic attached to one and get a 15% discount there ;D) I will hold off on voting in this poll until I've actually tried it though. ;D

I love Yesterdays News. Been using it for over five years now with my ferrets. It does not track like other cat litters and it is easy to spot clean. Now Worlds best Cat Litter is great for my cats but its all over my floor in the animal room. Thats the only thing I hate about it, so thats why I would not use it in the ferrets cage. Also I thought you where not supposed to use clumping litter with ferrets??

I would like to rescind my vote for WB multicat, and vote for SS multicat now. It's basically the same, clumps slightly better, and is cheaper.

I am finally ready to vote and have to say I vote for other!
I picked up some of those wood stove pellets (pure natural wood, no chemicals or additives) from Rona today for $6 per 40lb bag. They are seasonal but I guess so many people have been asking about them for pet bedding that they took some out.
I love them! They do not track like the clumping litter, they absorb way better than yesterdays new (which also crumbled and tracked I found) and when the ferrets do knock them out of the litter box, I can just scoop them back in without leaving a bunch of stuff behind on their bedding.
And they smell awesome! I love that wood smell. It's actually woody enough to cover up the pee and poop smell too. I sprinkle a little bit of baking soda underneath too though.
Also when the ferrets drag their raw meat in their, it doesn't stick to them quite as badly as the yesterday's new did, still getting some bigger pellets sticking but they tend not to eat those the way they did with the yesterday's news.

Also I thought you where not supposed to use clumping litter with ferrets?? That's clumping CLAY litters. Those are exceedingly dusty, and stick to the ferret's paws and bottom, and then they ingest it when cleaning themselves. Which then can lead to a blockage as the clay swells in the stomach and just sits there, since it's so heavy.

Yeah I use the Swheat Scoop which is made of wheat. I can't express how much I LOVE that it clumps. I found that I was throwing away too much 'good litter' with the pelleted. So I switched over. My kids haven't dug in the litterbox since the first day. It's been a blessing cause for the price I paid for the Swheat Scoop compared to Yesterdays News, it will last me so much longer than the pelleted. I find that my kids don't track it that much.... not sure why but I've had my FN for almost two full days and there's barely outside the box, I just vacuumed the bottom pan cause I was already vacuuming the living room.

Indeed Sherry, I have a really neat upholstery attachment that I absolutely love. It worked great on the pan cover and didn't suck it into the tube. Mine's just a regular size vacuum, I wouldn't trade it for the world, I have a neat rewind button that sucks in the cord so I don't have to wrap up the cord. It's really why I choose this vacuum ha!
