I found that MoJo DID dig once when I switched to WB...but the second I put some poop in there that I had just cleaned from the old litter, he realized it was his new place to go, and has since stopped digging in it. He does dig in it a little when fresh litter is added, but I just stop him and tell him no, then he stops.

Kahlua is a pain in the butt about it, she wont tolerate any type of litter and I wasted god knows how much trying to figure out one she would tolerate. She doesnt really dig in the litter, she sort of just pushes/nuges/does a squirrel looking move till theres a nice big pile then she goes about spreading it out and then she digs the carpet where it is till its all embeded. I havent tried since we've put down the carpet protecters buut theres still carpet in their room + im worried shell push it under the carpet protecters.. shes a sly little thing

I love Yesterday's News.. some people complain about bad odor from it, but maybe I just have a weak sense of smell because I don't notice any. My local mom&pop pet shop sells huge bags of it for super cheap.
The 12kg/26lb bag I currently have cost me $11 and has lasted me for over a month so far with 3 ferrets and 2 litter boxes (one huge one in cage, one small one out of cage).

Looks like SS is winning

SS was winning, now it's a tie again, it's been neck and neck pretty much the whole time.

I use yesterdays news, I go through a little under 2 bags a month now with four ferrets, two litter pans, used to go through 3+ when they were on kibble so I'm liking the raw. For $5.60 a bag I can't beat the price, don't like the wood pellets as much because they break down way faster and track more and the WB and SS just track too much for me, they get it everywhere, in the water, all over their room, it was terrible when they had a rug in there, I had to vacuum all the time, plus it's more expensive and doesn't seem to last for me.

Yeah I'm currently on Yesterdays News, now I'm REALLY going to have to change over, Zoey has been refusing to eat her raw, even with kibble and has resided to eating the litter I finally gave in, and just gave her plain kibble, cause it can't be worse than Yesterdays News.

There's something about Yesterday's News... all of my hedgehogs have tried to eat it at one point or another but thankfully they've finally realized it's litter...
That is interesting about the tracking vs. the non-tracking. Ahhh so many choices!
World's best and Scwheat Scoop aren't too dusty are they? I have allergies/lung sensitivities and I'm worried about the litter being too dusty for me.

There is some dust with the Swheat Scoop, but I don't consider it problematic. I buy the 40lb bag and then dump it into two storage tubs and there's always a dust poof when I do that (it smells like flour), but when it comes to everyday scooping/refilling the boxes I usually don't notice it, although some batches seem dustier than others. Also, the 40lb bag lasts my 3 cats and 3 ferts a couple of months, so you might want to test it out with a small bag, it would be sad to buy the huge one and be stuck with it for months if it bothers you.

What a difference in price! I quit using the Yesterday's News, not only because it wasn't scoopable, but it was outrageously expensive, considering how much I was going through. I was paying $20+ for the 12 kilo bag

Wow Sherry that's crazy, here it's about $1 a pound, very comparable to what WB and SS is for me. SS is slightly cheaper, by like a buck.

I have tried literally everything, and everything has their pros and cons. Yesterday's News doesn't track and isn't dusty, but poop just sits on top. It does absorb liquids well, though. I stopped using it a long time ago because it gets too stinky, so I am constantly having to change it out. World's Best cat litter tracks and is slightly dusty, but clumps well. I personally don't like the smell and Reks eats it (one of the major reasons why I don't use it ) I will say the clumps are more gooey than SS, so it's kind of gross (IMO). Swheat Scoop tracks and is slightly dusty, but clumps well (even better clumping and odor control with the multicat version, like Katt said). I prefer the smell of it over WB. I don't have a problem with it sticking to the bottom of the litterbox since I use trash bags to cover the litterbox (makes for easy cleaning when I switch out the litter once a week). Like all of them (even YN), they like digging in it when it's fresh, but once someone poops in it, no more digging I do hate that it tracks so much, but I just vacuum it up around their cage once every couple days to a week and it doesn't take too long. Puppy pads absorb pee well, but poop just sits on top. They love playing under them and digging through them (when I had them in their cage duct taped to the sides of the litterbox so they couldn't get underneath ). I also had to change them out twice a day because they would stop using them if they deemed them too dirty to use (understandable). I do use them outside of the cage in the areas that they have deemed poop spots (they are more compliant with using them over litterboxes). They prefer using them over the tile in the bathroom since it stays dry when they pee on it (especially Reks since he freaks out if he gets pee/poop on his feet ).

I use newspaper as well- Newspaper on their pooping floors, fleece on their sleeping and playing floors (ferret nation).
