Also just a heads up. I'm going to be on vacation starting next week for 10 days. Between June 23rd and July 1st. Do you have any advice on what I should do about the switch during the time I'll be gone? My 16 year old sister is going to be petsitting for me, and at this stage in my switch I think it would be too much to ask her to continue with it. I think I'm going to see where we're at by the 22nd, and if it looks like I could just prepare all the soups (or slivers) in advance for her to give without too much effort on her part, then I'll do that. Otherwise I think I'll have to go back to kibble for those 10 days.

We'll need to watch Jill to see if the loss continues. Try adding more fat to her diet. Otherwise everything looks good.

Prepare their meals and freeze them for when you are gone and instruct your sister in how to feed them.

Tuesday, 17th Juneam - turkey necks pm - chicken breast Very small slivers, no liquid - This marks the first day without blending! They took it well
- I can't believe how little they are pooping on a raw-only diet... poops are still gooey but I do see some bits of bone in
- They are so energetic they are bouncing off the walls!
Wednesday, 18th Juneam - chicken wings pm - beef heart Very small slivers, no liquid - It looks like I don't have to worry so much about Jack not eating on her own. My stubborn one is finally starting to change her mind about meat! So happy
- While previously I mixed both meals together and served half in the morning and half in the evening, today I didn't mix them and to my surprise, they actually ate all the beef heart! Imagine that! When it was mixed, they picked out what they liked and left the hearts, but when they had no choice they ate it all.

Hi there! This is probably going to be my last update before I get back from vacation. So far everyone is eating pretty well, they are loving the slivers and I'm going to chop up slivers for the next ten days so my sister can take over while I'm gone. Thanks for all your help! I'll see you in July.

Hey there! I'm still away but I just thought I'd let you know my boyfriend visited and weighed the ferrets today. Jack: 820g (6g loss) Jill: 920g (13g gain) Alice: 920g (11g loss) I think that looks good. I feel better knowing my sister is doing a good job at feeding the girls.

My boyfriend gave me a bit of an update. He says they are eating ALL the food, every day. With the exception of organ day of course! The food will run out right as I get back home, so for the next meat prep, do you think I should make bigger chunks?

Yes, try slightly larger chunks. Once they're eating good sized chunks, we'll intro duce bone in meats.

Alright! I got home last night, and just got back from the grocery today. I'm going to chop everything up into 1/2'' cubes. The girls look very healthy and happy. My sister did a great job!

Hey Wildferret, sorry for the short absence. I've been pretty busy with work and visits since I got back.
As planned, I cut everything up into half inch cubes, including a couple of new meats that I hope they will accept. This time I tried something slightly different with bagging the meals... instead of writing the day of the week, I wrote the type of meat (edible bone, muscle, heart, organ) and I've been serving the right ones for each day.
They've been eating an average of 3-4 oz each day. Is that too little? Poops look normal and energy level is absolutely great.

That is the correct amount that they should be eating. They are experiencing a higher level of nutrition now.
