So, she's at her Tech School. If she is in school for welding, she's probably at Norfolk? That's a great base. I was assigned to Langley AFB, near Norfolk. It's a beautiful area.

Norfolk is in Virginia. She must be at Great Lakes, that's the largest school for Surface Warfare tng. I'm not sure what exactly that is, but Great Lakes is a large base and she should have alot of fun.

She seems to be enjoying herself! I'm just glad we can actually talk now and dont have to rely on snail mail. Well I got Evanna to eat most of her breakfast so I'll weigh it here in a bit, but it should be around an oz.

Good. Do you have to sit with her, for her whole meal or will she eat on her own?

I have to hold her >.> and spoon or finger feed her. When she was on a loose soupie with no chunks she ate fine on her own, but now she just sniffs her food and walks away.

Okay, somewhere down the line, we will want to get her eating on her own. If you have to board her for a vet visit or you have an emergency and have to go away overnight, we don't want her to refuse to eat, because Mom's not there. We'll worry about that, a little later. My Mika eats much better, when I sit with her, also.

Oh trust me I want her eating independently really really really badly haha. I wont be able to spoon feed her every hour like this once school starts again. but while shes learning its okay.

Alright, so we can build a menu plan. Do you want to take a look at your schedule and build a menu, for this week, starting with tomorrow, as the first day? Your menu plan will look like this: Thursday a.m. bone in p.m. bone in
Friday a.m. bone in p.m. muscle meat
Saturday a.m. organ soup 1/2 liver 1/2 other organ p.m. bone in
Sunday a.m. muscle meat with egg p.m. bone in
Monday a.m. bone in p.m. muscle meat
Tuesday a.m. muscle meat (hearts) p.m. bone in
Wednesday a.m. organ soup 1/2 liver 1/2 kidney and 1oz of hearts p.m. bone in
You can fill the proteins and rearrange this to fit your schedule. After you decide, post it and I'll look at it. What I did was put it on a poster board and refer to it, each night. Then pull out the frozen item for the next day and stick it in the fridge. It will be defrosted in the morning.
Let me know, what you think and we can talk some more details, next.

Good Morning (wave) Bone In will be chicken wings, and the cornish game hen. So, if you decide to start your first bone in meal with the cornish game hen (since she has already had chicken, let's give her another protein), let's start off with cutting off the wing. Also, slice a piece of the breast into a few tiny pieces. Offer her a piece of that and let her taste it. Then take the wing, smash it into tiny pieces, smash it up alot. We want her to get the pieces, but not choke on any. After its smashed fine, cut it into bite size pieces. Here is a picture of what I did with Quail: Before: After, see how small the pieces are: I suggested the wing, because its small and you will still have alot left. You can do more cornish game hen for tonights dinner or try the chicken wing. Alot of people will do two proteins a day. I found that by offering the same protein, for a day or two in a row, mine got used to it and quickly accepted the new protein. As long as we have at least three proteins in a week, its okay. If you look at some of the other switching threads, you will see some ideas as to how, people offer the different proteins. Like I said, I preferred to use the same protein for a day or two, until they had fully accepted the new protein. Since there is no way, little Evanna will eat a whole cornish game hen in just a day or two. You can now portion out and freeze the rest for later in the week.
