okay! How do you guys keep youre fingers and hands okay with all this cutting? My hands are sore Kitchen shears REALLY made a difference. I honestly almost never CUT anything with a knife anymore. We happen to have a nice Cutco one that we bought a few years ago and I have recently been scolded that I ruined it, but it makes my life easier! It is harder at the beginning too because you have to cut things smaller. But even then I would cut with a knife into strips and then cut with the shears unto smaller pieces. I think unless your a chief, the scissors cutting action is just easier! Just wait till she's eating bigger thing! It is so nice to be able to cute a chicken in 8ths or a CGH in half! My prep time is literally cut in half! Hang in there! There is a light at the end of the tunnel!

awe yay she actually ate a bit over an oz. 1.25! but that was over the course of a few hours I kind of have to feed her a bit and then feed her again in 30-60 min. Repeat if necessary. She does look a bit plumper now though!

I think 1 oz is really good for females, especially adults in the summer time! That is great! And what a dedicated mommy to be there feeding her every hour! haha Oh course the goal is to be able to give it and change it later, but Stef is the PERFECT mentor for you if you have more finicky furr-kids. I think her girls, specifically Mika, win that prize! haha

Its music to my ears when I wake up in the middle of the night and hear her munching on some meat but shes not big on eating independently. Which is probably why she was so thin when I got her.

Oh and teeth! She's fine, just a bit of tartar buildup and a missing canine. So what do you do if the bite onto the cage bars? Should I let her out or is that rewarding unwanted behavior? She did it for the first time today.

We've done pork and chicken meat, chicken liver, chicken heart, and cow thymus. Oh and some egg one time.

Okay, so that's everything that you listed in your thread. I wanted to make sure that we had not missed anything.
I know that you are making soup, are you making soup everyday? We are going to want to build a menu plan and work towards that. She has been on her soup since the 14th, and we should introduce some other proteins, now. We'll talk about that next.
As for Evanna, biting the cage...that's called cage raging. She wants out and she wants some attention. If you are just hanging out in your room, can she wander around and explore? When does she do her cage raging.

I used to make a batch of soup every few days or so, but now I have all the measured meat uncut in baggies in the freezer. So I just have to defrost and chop when I run out of soup. I need to get an ice cube tray next time I get to the store for less mess. I feel like I'm going to give the whole house salmonella using a baggie lol.
well I've noticed that she doesnt really like going potty in the cage and she tries to climb out to go underneath my dresser and poop >.< and then she climbs right back in her cage and goes to sleep. So I wont let her out unless she goes potty in the litter box. Once shes pooed and peed then I usually close my door and let her run around. After about 5 min she goes to sleep on my bed or my rug haha. She also doesnt seem interested in play, but she did get really excited at my boyfriends this past weekend and she was running all over the house and even dooked a little.
