I forgot to add the reason I did the half chicken half liver thing and then added beef and pork is I had already premade some liver and chicken soup last week and I only had beef and pork thawed out right now.

Okay, sounds like he just needed to build a bit more strength to get through the rest of the bone. Keep me updated on how he takes to the soup modifications you try. If it's not working I can think of some other things to try.

Mister 2lb 9oz One chicken wing or 5-6 chunks of either pork or beef solid poop most of the time very active and happy
Wednesday morning chicken wing wednesday night 4-5 beef chunks 1 pork chunk
Saturday morning chicken wing saturday night pork chunks
sunday morning chicken wing sunday night chicken wing
monday morning chicken wing monday night chicken wing
tuesday morning .5liver .5chicken and a few chunks of beef blended and mixed in tuesday night .5liver .5chicken and a few chunks of beef blended and mixed in
three capsules of taurine he has been eating more of the liver mix I think once I make it fresh he will eat more.
I have been dealing with a very sick senior rat and haven't been writing down what I have been feeding mister and can't for the life of me remember what I fed him thursday or friday. Beef seems to be his favorite protien so far he really seems to love it and will choose it over the pork chunks.

No problem Looks like he's doing well. If you're too busy with the rat, continue doing what you're doing. When you have the time, let me know if you're ready to progress some more. I think our next step should be getting one more protein in the mix (maybe turkey?). Hope things are okay with your rat Best wishes to him/her.

He seems to be stashing more of his bone then he was before should I try breaking them up?

I was thinking that it might be easier if I started feeding the same thing every week and had a menu plan and prepackaged each meal do you think this is a good idea what do you do?

I am so sorry I haven't checked in on you this week! Work and getting ready to move has been occupying me more than expected.
Anyway, I wouldn't adjust the size of chunks just because he's stashing. If it's bothersome to you, maybe consider making a feeding den so he feels more secure eating his food. A smallish, dark Tupperware with a lid and a hole cut in a side would work perfectly. Best way to make it would be to put the lid on the floor, so you just take off the top and clean the lid off and place the meat on the lid then cover. Cut a 4" diameter hole on the side and either cover the edge with tape, or melt it slightly with a lighter to avoid sharp edges.
As for feeding, I definitely pre package my meals. I tend to buy 3-6 months worth of food at once and just spend a few hours one day chopping it all and bagging it up. I even bought a freezer just for them lol (was $50 off craigslist - not bad for being 6 ft tall). As long as you feed a minimum of 3 proteins a week and the proper amount of organs and heart, then you can feed the same thing every week. I personally prefer to mix it up though. I usually buy about 8 proteins (chicken, duck, pheasant, quail, turkey, pork, rabbit, beef, and sometimes lamb) and feed 3-4 a week and rotate the weeks. Duck is generally their main protein, but seeing as it is high in fat, when I feed that as a main, I always follow it with leaner meats (such as rabbit, turkey, or chicken breast).
I would definitely say planning and prepping ahead is the easiest way to go about it though. That way all you have to do is pop a frozen bag out and defrost it then serve (never defrost in the microwave or with hot water).

I just wanted to let you know for the last liver feeding what I did was I gave him 2 oz of beef and 1 oz of liver. I let him eat as much as he could for the night which was about half and I put the rest in the fridge and I refreshed it with some water in the morning and he ate the rest.

Good! Approximately how many ounces have you been feeding him per meal per day?

I have no idea I haven't been weighing his regular meals should I start doing that? I am probably going to start recordings eveything I am feeding again since my senior rat has been the same for about a week.

No, the weight isn't important as we just feed however much they'll eat. Just an estimate is fine so I can get an idea of his appetite and if your organ mix is a proper ratio.

I'll take a picture when I prepackage his meals later of how much I am giving him of each meat a meal. I am also currently doing 2 oz of beef and 1 oz of chicken liver for his liver meal in two separate feedings because I am having trouble getting him to eat it otherwise.
Also I found kidney at a store I didn't buy it but I was thinking about it do you think I should get it?

Absolutely! Kidney is a great addition and is a secondary organ, so it will contribute to your balance

So sorry I didn't get back to you sooner. Just finished moving into the new place and got the internet set up again. Since things are going along well, I think we should now focus on balance and any other protein introductions you would like to make. I believe I've had you make a menu before, but if you don't mind, I'd like to see weekly menus still. (I know you just mentioned that you'll continue, so at least we're on the same page lol) It just helps us mentors get an idea of where things are and what needs to be adjusted (if anything).
