Personally, if they are on a well balanced raw/whole prey diet, you don't need them.

I don't bother with vitamins. I feed oil and pumpkin. That's all

I just want to make sure he's getting everything he needs... with me being new and just starting off, him being so young... I just want to make sure he's getting everything he needs for a long healthy life ahead of him.

Yeah, I had that fear a lot in the beginning. As long as you feed variety and all the necessary components, you're covered

I wouldn't. I don't supplement unless I have a ferret that's sick or has special needs ciao

Judge by his behaviour and stools. If he's really active, and not crashing to sleep all the time, or flat ferreting constantly, he likely doesn't need anything. If his stools are normal raw fed stools(slightly wet and a bit looser than kibble fed), he doesn't need anything. If any of the above are wrong, you can simply adjust his diet accordingly.

His stools are looking better since I started giving him some squash baby food. Before that they were no solid form, very watery. He does sleep lots... I usually have to check on him cause he seems to be sleeping lots more than I recall with my other two boys, but they were older and also had free roam of my room... not locked in their cage. When he gets up, I wait till he goes potty then let him out for hours. I'm hoping once he gets the potty thing down I'll be able to leave the door open non-stop.

He hasn't been on raw for long, has he? If I remember correctly, some of mine slept more when they first started their raw diet. Can't recall how long it went on for, though.

Flat ferreting is when the ferret lies down flat on its stomach. Also called speed bumping, kinda like this:

Pooka does this. He'll be ruining around crazy like, then just plop down.
Then again he is on a kibble diet right now..
