Here's my weekly update
1. Ferret's name:Esmerelda
2. Ferret's weight:0.8Kg
3. Same deal with Es, she's a little bugger! She will eat some slivers of pork and sometimes chicken.
4. Standard kibble poos at the moment.
5. Activity levels:High.
6. Weekly menu:Raw soup during the day and then kibble at night.
Adding slivers of meat and hand feeding some of them.
1. Ferret's name: George
2. Ferret's weight:1.3Kg
3. George is still snubbing most of the chicken wing portions. I also keep finding piles of bones. He is def eating some as I can hear him crunching.
4. Slightly bigger than they have been since his switch and dark poos
5. Activity levels: Calmed down a bit, but still energetic.
6. Weekly menu (George gets 2 meals a day of about 2oz each meal and I've also got him on quite big chunks):
Monday: Pork chunks, Chicken wings chopped up- would only eat a few hand fed bits.
Tuesday: chicken gizzards and chicken heart.
Wednesday: am: Chicken wings chopped up- ate most of the breakfast but not the evening portion Thursday: Chicken wings (Not much eaten)
Friday: Chicken wings (Not much eaten) heart, liver (Ate all of it) Saturday: Chicken wings (Not much eaten)
Sunday: Chicken wings gave 1.5oz for breakfast. He ate about .5oz and then the same for evening meal.
I think we're doing ok. I feel like we're at a bit of a stand still, but will keep persevering! Will try and make sure I weigh all george's food before and after now.

Hi Sherry, so we're still stuck and now I've run out of chicken wings. Can't get to the shop til saturday. I'm wondering if he's leaving them because they've gone off as I've noticed a few have been really stinky. We're using an old freezer someone gave us and a few times I've noticed meat has thawed and had to use it or throw it. I'm thinking maybe it's time to invest in a new freezer!

Oh my yes! If they have been stinky they have indeed been off! And that would most definitely explain why he wasn't eating!

Sounds good. Keep an eye out for deals on Craig's list etc as well as free cycle if you have one in your area

Yeah I will do, though I struggle with that sort of stuff as I don't drive.
Managed to get to the shop today but no chicken wings, so have got hearts and breast for now.

Weekly menu: Es kibble with some soup and the occasional meat slivers. I think pork may be her thing so am going to try pick her some up over the next few days.
George, was on chicken wings chopped up with some chicken meat. He's eating about 1/2 of the portions. I ran out a few days ago so he's been on chicken and heart since then. I've got some liver to give him later, but he seems to have gone off liver and heart for some reason.

Hiya, so we're struggling with George, he will only eat chicken chunks now. No heart, liver or other meat. He just leaves it. I've double checked the meat is ok and it all has been so it can't be that. Will try him with some pork again.
Es is shunning the soup too the little sod! Will back track and start spoon feeding her again and see where we get.

Oh they are spoiled brats Es- start her off with feeding WHILE she is on her own four feet Keep lowering and moving the spoon. Instead of slivers, pick up some ground meat(or grind it yourself if you have a grinder) We will use this instead of slivers at the moment to get her used to texture since she is such a Miss Priss. Add in about 1/2 tsp ground and mix well. George- make a liver/heart puree(or grind) and hand feed if need be once a week. Give him a new protein for 3 meals in a row. I gather he is doing well with the bone now?

Ok I'll get on that. No George is still leaving a lot of the bone, we have run out of wings so we will get some more and add them back in and keep trying.

Silly little bugger! Can you get some chicken necks or something like that? If not, try chopping the wings up really well instead.

I'll check the butchers tomorrow, but they seem to have fairly run of the mill stuff. I'm struggling to get anything other than what I already buy. I'll probably have to widen my search away from our local market to see what else I can find!
